This win should not be downplayed. So much went against us and we won. Somehow. Too often games like this have resulted in a loss but we won. Against a top 25 team. On the road. This was a beautifully stressful thing to see
Yep. Don’t remember ever winning a game with a punt blocked and a fumbled punt.

JH shouldn’t be celebrating a damn thing…glad we won though…
CJH has done a remarkable job with what he was given! Big fan of him! And, go Vols!!!!!! Excited about winning a tough game on the road against a team that didn’t quit, and we did a lot to keep them in it. Hope Pitt wins the ACC again.

Way too many mistakes offensively. Drops, sacks, penalties. We can't have those if we expect to have a good season.

I was pleased with the pressure we put on Pitt's QBs over the game, but man, I don't like our secondary at all. That weakness really limits the ceiling on this team unless the offense is able to put up 40-50 points against high-level defenses, and while we're explosive, I didn't really see that level of consistency and execution today.

Still happy to beat a solid ranked team though. Go Vols!

And some are out on the coaches over it

I think it’s too early. Josh and his team need 2-3 years before that starts happening because of how horrible this roster was when they got here. They played last year with 77 total scholarship players. And went 7-5. Is there something Huepel needs to work on? Absolutely. Is there something Banks needs to work on? Absolutely. The defense wasn’t horrible tonight (26 QB hurries). There are some DBs that need to be replaced, but I think there is a reason why they keep playing and not many people look at that.

Anyway, great win. Sloppy on O, but a win is a win and I’m excited!
