I will add that it isn't going to be 4 or 14 on defense that makes or breaks us....it will be the middle of the field. dt,linebackers and safeties. A gap pressure to disrupt Slovis. Push him to Baron and Young and Harrison and Josephs. Little inside push and he can step in and hit the soft spots in coverage.

Anyone know if the entire band is making the trip?

Book it, we hold Pitt to single digits.
An interesting wrinkle is that they struggled to run the ball against WVU. We need to prove we can stop teams from airing it out at will. Purdue had 93(!!) yds rushing against us at the end of last season and we still lost (should have won, but still). I think 3rd down D is critical to that.

Lol that OP and I think several here forget how literally everything went Pitts way.

The list is very long.

Second game year one with Heup.
Depleted roster.
Cooper out so Carvin had to play center for the first time ever and you had a third string guard in there when Kingston Harris got hurt.
No Evans, Small was hurt. Basically Jaylen Wrights first game.
Hyatt got concussed.
No Byron Young. Baron was banged up.
Our QB's fumbles twice getting sacked and that was the only time that happened all year. Hooker threw one of his three picks all year.
13 penalties. One took a TD away.

There is no way we should lose this game.
