Recruiting Forum: Official South Carolina Pre-Game/Game Thread

An interim can get it back on track and get a win against UK. Keep CBJ and lose to UK, then they'll flat-out quit and we could skid down to 4-8.

I don't think we can. Coaching and development has been awful. Don't think anything would help these players they're just not very good

Time to do this. It's obvious the team is not going to play for him.

Give this thing to Gillespie and let's go 8-4

I see it differently...
I think the team did play for him today. They played hard.
They are just poorly coached and a train wreck on offense.

Gruden has to wonder how fun it would be to dominate this division. It's all there for the taking. He could have a statue built here.

I get its a long shot. But so was Saban.

Can you imagine sitting near him watching this game? Wonder what fans are saying around him.

I honestly don't think JG has looked bad. He's not been amazing, but it's his first start, and he has had some good flashes. Better OL and better playcalling, we might have a really solid QB. No TO is a refreshing change.

He has minus yardage rushing(counting sacks) and less than a hundred passing

Probably left at half time

Lol...Tubbs just said the difference is physicality...SC has been physical the entire game.

Same old story...

Dooley was a better game day / X's and O's coach than Jones, and I don't think it's close. Butch Jones is next to bad in those two areas and he's even worse when it comes to handling personnel.

Even Dooley had the sense to get the ball to his playmakers on offense.

Butch would probably have Cordarrel Patterson sitting on the bench.

I said earlier in the thread that the real test would be when adversity hit.

It hit. The Vols showed how they respond.

Enough is enough.

No. Dooley was a miserable game manager, same as Butch.

LSU, Miss. State, Ky.

So many memories I have of terrible decision making, game and clock management

It was less adversity and more the fact that the Vols are a horrendously bad football team.

South Carolina has completely dominated the second half.

So you start a dude to call 7-8 plays. You don't even take shots of play action. All the he's not accurate deep is BS. We've seen him pass deep earlier this year. Damn coach needs to fire himself

It's like Butch has never played a video game

Butch designed his offense around this:

He's only been allowed to throw 10 times. He's 7/10. Maybe you can say a couple of those sacks he held the ball too long or didn't find a WR that he should have, but you can't blame 10 passing attempts on the QB when he's completed 7 of them.

I'm still not sure I buy that. I think there's talent there, but they are atrociously coached.

Unfortunately, both our QB's suck so bad.
