People in here killing JG. He isn’t perfect, but he had a strong game converting 3rd down after 3rd down. He has taken more hits than anyone I’ve ever seen, and keeps getting up making plays. His OL let him down with multiple penalties and whiffed blocks, but he still played well. He made some mistakes, but it’s ridiculous to try and pin this on him.
He wouldn’t start on 85% of SEC rosters

If the refs had called SC's goal line fumble(that Bituli recovered) we would have won. It may go as a win for SC, but the refs deserve a big assist.

Good teams find ways to get past that. Some of the calls and noncalls were total BS, and at least three were gamechangers, but teams have to play through it. The Vols didn't do that. They had plenty of opportunities to make plays and win, but they failed. So they lost a game they should have won.

When you hire someone who has never been a head coach, there are growing pains. It is especially tough when the HC inherited a team with depleted subpar line men on both sides of the ball. Over all I am shocked we beat Auburn and that tonight we played 3 quarters of SEC football on the road with no depth of any kind.

It is rough and I am tired of losing, but hopefully we can get a win next week, make more personnel adjustments (not sure why TKj was on the field) and pull an upset or two before season is over. I would love to see us ruin KY’s season.
Bottom Line: We need linemen on both sides of the ball. Until we turnover about 60% of this roster, we will struggle.
Not sure which forum the logical well thought out posts go

He actually has a good point there.
We were up 2 scores two different times. We had 5 false starts in the EIGHTH game. He kneeled it with 37 seconds at the 40 with a TO. He went for it instead of kicking a FG. He let a muschamp Offense do whatever they wanted

Agreed. JG did enough to win and he did it without arguably the teams best 2 OL. (Trey isn't really arguable, but Kennedy probably is.) He takes hit after hit but continues to lead this team. Again, if the refs had made the correct calls, we win this game. That was a fumble on the GL and UT recovered. That would have eliminated one of their scores. Called correctly, most likely we win the game. But hey, it is what it is. Sometimes refs screw you over.

At the end of the day, I agree.

But it's so disheartening to be climbing out of hole and have the zebras kick you back down and scrape dirt on you with the soles of their shoes.

Pointing to a decision to go for it instead of kicking a fg is getting out coached?

It was a 50+ FG. Should have punted versus the chance of giving the other team additional momentum and the ball on the 36. Would rather them go 90 and they don’t have to be conservative from 36.

Final thought: We knocked the **** out of them tonight. They'll remember UT football come next season. Most folks on USCe's offense will FEEL it tomorrow.

We're not good enough yet to overcome incompetent refereeing. I get what you're saying, but that doesn't excuse the refs failing at their job.

All this game proved to me is that when Pruitt gets his players...he is gonna destroy Mushdump. Dump barely won at home in third year only because the refs are absolute garbage. You guys are hating JP for going for it tonight trying to set a tone and turn the mo, but when he has real weapons to play with he is gonna stomp that ass. I like the aggresive play. We have been pussies long enough, the team needs to man up and execute.

To me its the silly PF's like JJ who is a senior and suppose to be a leader did that put SC right back into the game. when we had them down.

Not to mention Pruitt was clearly set on going for it instead of the FG. And at the end of the game we had to go for it. Run the ball on 3rd down. We had been running well all game, our down field passing game was non existent
