I may be in the minority here but I don't have a problem with Butch putting McBride in. If JGs helmet fell off, id have a big problem. An injury is different to me though.

uhhhhh. JG is clearly hurt and needs to be on the bench. Butch has the IQ of a peanut

Trainers would have told him he might be able to go after a re-taped. Play wildcat or hand off with Jancek for the rest of the drive. Play defense. Reassess.

It was idiotic.

Well, it’s the right decision, because he needs to put him in to play the entire 2nd half, because JG is injured. Make the adjustments at halftime to help him out...oh wait, never mind, we don’t know how to make adjustments at halftime.

Nobody could know how long JG would be out. It was clear JG was in a ton of pain and he's still limping. McBride will likely come back in again

Then it's inevitable that McBride loses it. damned if you do, damned if you don't.

he goes down, looks in pain and you think "ok he looks hurt and it might be long term"

you put McBride in and JG says he's good to go. ok... then go back out.

now he's thinking JG is too hurt despite JG saying he can play.

It's not that moronic.

I kind of agree

I’ve never seen a team do what Chizik said. Punt in first down? Just run wildcat for a series? Throw in the walk on in a one score game? I mean, you can, but let’s not act like this is standard practice

We need the kid to play. You don't sacrifice a chance to play actual football and help your team for some hypothetical football 4 years down the road
