Still don’t know how he went D1 and made it into a starting position at one point (although obviously he walked on), I knew Max he was about 2 years younger than me. He was a good football player but he definitely wasn’t a D1 Football player. He wasn’t blazing fast or anything and he was afraid of contact. (Guess he fixed the contact issue when he got to college?)

Real eye for the ball and football smart. If the rest of the roster had enough speed to compensate, he could’ve played off it...ala Chris White. Long term we needed an infusion of athletes and he was left behind. Didn’t he earn a scholarship and then get a medical?
