Recruiting Forum: Official UGA Pre-Game/Game Thread

It all rides on JG. He can save Butch. I will support butch as long as he can to 8-4. At 7-5 I think he comes back but I won't actively support that

I agree, and he needs to develop fast. Dormady is not an SEC quarterback. Any halfway decent player on the other team can see where he will be throwing it so he is easily intercepted.. He appears to be afraid of contact, too.

The ride has left. Look, it's completely out of any of our hands obviously when or if Butch will be fired. But the dive into the tailspin is now complete.

It's a good time for an off week. If butch can keep this team together it's a good job. If not he should go

QD was awful. But so was every position group other than punter. Butch, the coaching, and the system are even worse.

The team has quit on him. Time for him to take his buyout and go. The roster and recruiting get much worse from here.

I could see someone saying the offesne has quit but no way can that be said about those players on the other side of the ball.

Currie would earn a lot of respect by firing Butch in the next 24 hours. Get a head start on the coaching search and let the team rally around the interim. The team has given up on him.

Bruin reminds me of that defense attorney that is defending that guy where there is high definition video evidence, 20 eye witnesses, his DNA is all over the place, as are his finger prints.

Difference is that the defense attorney has to do it...it's his job.

I am defending a guy that has done a lot of good for this program. Maybe he can't take us to the next level and there are certainly signs of that but if he can win 8 games he deserves next year to try that one more time with an established Qb. Breaking in a new QB isn't a year to expect taking another step forward imo.

He’s done. It’s over. Butch will not be here next season.

I agree but he ain't winning 8 games. We'll be lucky to win 6.

I kind of want to support your generous point of view. Hey did you notice that Georgia provided the worst shut-out in over a century with a freshman QB. They must have some kind of secret "break-in" protocol. (Yes, that's snark.)

It will be interesting to see how UT handles this. It's been a weird week. So many events going on with Peyton and other former players and donors in town, and the mood has gotten progressively negative. UT admin has not wanted to deal with questions about CBJ.

Between UMess, CBJ's media rant and an inexcusable UGA shutout on Peyton's big day, it just couldn't have been a worse week for UT.

Yeah and if he wins out and we win a NY6 bowl he deserves an extension

Equally as likely to happen.
