Well, I could be wrong, but I believe a skyhawk is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.

I have RT Hawks in my yard in JC.

They arent even close to largest raptors in TN.

Nothing special. Basically, they were desperate for a name. Which, not ironically, will be the stench from their football team after getting dragged up and down Shields Watkins.

I do think Red Tail Hawks are beautiful graceful birds.

Fun fact: I ran CC at UTM and was the first team to compete under the new name Skyhawk (replacing the Pacer mascot to distance themselves from Murray St Racer having just moved to Div 1) on a Thursday afternoon before the football team played on a Saturday.
