I’ve tried to give all the players the benefit of the doubt bc of the previous staff, but some of these guys just aren’t very good.

I’m not one to trash players but Brandon Johnson has been a huge disappointment this year. Not because of that recent play but I was expecting him to atleast make some plays this year... 1 catch for 1 yard so far this year.

I feel bad for Pruitt because the fanbase's patience is strained so thin. We've already been through 3 rebuilds. He needs time to reform this mess.

I’m still 100% supportive of Pruitt. Just gonna have to get better players that want to compete.

I agree. I see each of the coaches getting in the players' faces as well as giving the attaboys as needed. Just don't know how much progress they are going to make with some of them this season. The staff will get better and better at their roles. Will more of the players?

This is true. We’ve dominate but made silly mistakes. Fumble at the 1, Flags inside the 10, muffed punt. I will say I did not like taking JG out tho or the play calling to not be aggressive

So we shouldn't be stopping ourselves because we are playing UTEP? We shouldn't be stopping ourselves no matter who we are playing. The lack of quality opponent is likely exactly what IS contributing to us stopping ourselves. The players have no respect for the opponent and many of them lack real competitive fire to beat the hell out of somebody just because that's what you should do.
