I think it will be a closer game than we'd like. A big win will help us in the playoff rankings, so I hope we can finish strong and get to the Sugar.

Have no idea what may happen in this game. We all know that Vandy tends to be up for this game more than we are. IMO, there are 2 big keys to this game outside of the play on the field that will determine outcome:

1) Where is Butch's head at with some of his comments this week? Is he totally focused on Vandy, or are things happening behind the scenes that will distract him? We need him to have this team fully motivated to go out and destroy Vandy. If we come out flat and slow, and go down 14 points early, we are in major trouble.

2) I haven't seen anyone mention this, but ponder it. This is the 1st game with significant meaning for Vandy under Mason. This is the first game he will coach with a bowl berth on the line. How is he in that type of situation? Does the pressure get him and he cracks, going ultra-conservative (like Butch), or does he get even more aggressive, and have his team focused and fired up to go out and take the bull by the horns? It will be interesting to see.

This is a very scary game, IMO, with a possible Sugar Bowl berth on the line. I think it's way too close for my comfort. Please just win!!

Cunningham takes the Dobbs running lanes away, but will have more trouble with Kamara/Kelly for a whole game. Does Dobbs throw accurately like he did against Mizzou? More importantly, will Debored be creative and wide open?

I am going McGill style plus adding a third option. If both are on...
Vols 42
Vandy 21

If Dobbs is on and Debored is not...
Vols 28
Vandy 21

If both are not...
Vandy 30
Vols 21

Ole Miss and AU both rated higher. Of course Ole Miss down Kelly.

Plus MTSU

True. Add in the top team in Total Offense in the SEC is Mizzou at #13 at over 500 yards per game. Vandy gave up 26 points on the road to them.

This is a tough game to call and it could go either way IMO. It helps there will be as many or more Vol fans in their stadium.

MTSU and Ole Miss are better offenses than our offense now that we have handed it over to Kamara/Kelly with a more healthy OL? Lol! Unless Dobbs has a USCe level game (always possible with his inconsistencies) then we will put up lots of points on Vandy. Not likely 50, as some posters predicted, but 30+ looks likely.

We really are playing for a lot here. Better bowl, etc. I hope we bring our A game because I think we'll need it. BTW I watched a presser with the Vandy coach and I like him. Not an ass-hat like that other guy.

Ole Miss and AU are statistically better is all I'm saying and that is still after our last three games against the three worst defenses faced all year.

IMO the offensive coaches are going to stay wide open now because they know we have to outscore everyone with all the defensive injuries. Just wish they would have done it all year instead of only when they had to.

100% agree. I really don't understand why they didn't. It's not like every DC they faced did not already know the scheme and plays. Fear about Dobbs getting injured is all I can come up with to possibly explain it.
