On Nico’s deep ball, I’ve been thinking other than facing pressure this year maybe it’s the weight/strength he’s put on since getting here. He was a lot skinnier when he got here and idk if you guys have gone through a huge weight gain from lifting and tried to play sports but sometimes it takes time to adjust to the new strength. When I was younger the first time I put on a bunch of weight through lifting it took me so long to find touch when playing basketball. I would overshoot everything under 23 ft at first until I worked on it to where my muscle memory adjusted. I think maybe when he feels pressure he’s putting as much into the throw as he did before the weight/strength gain and it’s going too far since he has made those gains. Idk just a thought. In the first few games it seems like he adjusted to change in strength since he was hitting those throws but maybe after getting pressured so much he’s lost that control. Nico and the receivers need to be working tirelessly to get his touch back under control and fix their chemistry.

I feel like it’s more early game jitters. He is too pumped up and overthrows them. After he has settled down (2nd quarter), he starts to find more of a rhythm. Also needs to work a few balls to the TE to get going.

Linebackers and the edge guys will be key, they have to be very disciplined, can't fall for the eye candy. We need to get on them early and break their will. Punish Diego when he runs the ball.

BONUS: When our final score scrolls across the ticker, Warde Manuel chokes on his left over turkey sandwich.

A playoff game in Neyland Stadium is eminent. Just play TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS FOOTBALL and take care of business.

*Thank you, OGbaby!!!

My thoughts too, all the way down to the basketball analogy. Well said!

yup going from being rail skinny to putting on 20-40lbs of muscle in a very short time is a huge adjustment lol. Even in other cases on the team like Jalen Smith, he was very fast coming out of high school and when he first started getting playing time this year he looked liked he was having an adjustment period while getting used to running around with that much weight on him. Thankfully he seems to be getting much better at moving around out there lately.
