We haven’t started a season 6-2 since maybe 2006? Both Kentucky and USCe got there today.

Please fire Butch

As his final hoorah, Butch found a way to lose to Kentucky when his team was plus 4 in turnover margin.

A fitting ending to a peculiar stretch in UT history.

Vols scored touchdowns tonight. So there is that...

Not.

10 years ago I watched all Vols games in a favorite sports bar. Got to talking to a guy at next table in an Oregon jacket about what Fulmer needed to do to get to SECCG. He said, "But you still have to get by Kentucky..."

I said, "We are TN; we do not lose to KY."

Almost immediately I noticed that he had on some sort of Kentucky championship ring. He was an assistant coach for KY. I apologized profusely and explained that I meant no offense. I bought him a beer and kept apologizing.

I am sure wherever he is tonight he remembers and he is laughing.

(Cool story, brah.)

This was just so disappointing. It was a terrible way for Butch to go and a terrible end to our season. So much hope to start the season off and it’s been nothing but disappointing

We do have some talent on this team, it's just not being used/developed and we all know it.
Butch just lost his last game in true Caretaker fashion

Excited actually about our RBs

I know what we are all focused on ... but seriously ... I can't say enough of how horrible Jumper is... really... bad....
Richmond can walk home. Watched him entire game whiff.
tomorrow or monday we will have an interim.
JG has a LOT to learn about pocket awareness, but he's tough.
Bye B....

This is probably true. #FireCurrie

Goodness, Florida people are delusional thinking they are going to fire Mac for cause and not pay his buyout.

Tennessee's loss to Kentucky means Vols will have their 7th losing SEC record in the past 11 seasons; there were 2 in previous 30 seasons.

That is our identity now. A below average SEC team. Probably in that Arkansas, South Carolina or Ole Miss sphere.

Who knew when we finally fired Phil this is where we’d be almost a decade later.
