'19 Recruiting Rankings Tracker

I forgot him. I was trying to operate within the 22 number that @butchna threw out. I'll redo the calculator in the morning on my laptop.

Re-did the calculator with everything else the same, adding Crouch. This puts us with 23 recruits (borrowing one from next year).

280.18 would have been good enough for 9th last year.

This is a tracker where we can go back and see historically where we are and where we've been for recruiting rankings.

I'm only doing 247 for the following list:

07/16/2018: 18th (Added Elijah Simmons)
07/25/2018: 17th (Added Roman Harrison)
07/26/2018: 17th
07/27/2018: 14th (Added Warren Burrell)
07/28/2018: 12th (Added Tyus Fields)
07/30/2018: 14th
07/31/2018: 13th (Added Savion Williams)
08/01/2018: 14th

12/11/2018: 15th
12/13/2018: 16th
12/17/2018: 16th

As of right now (12/17/2018), we are 16th on the 247 Composite, and 12th on Rivals.
Quoting this for history...

I'm taking extraneous repetitive rankings out of the OP so this list doesn't get too long.

I'll be updating the OP all day as we sign recruits. Hopefully there are some surprises!

If we pick up Crouch and Wright, that would put us at 267.59, or 10th in current rankings.

Hate to be a downer, but I do not think Wright will be a Vol. The schedule is tough and the record may not reflect the actual improvement in the team. In the final analysis, he'll go to Bama.

I reserve the right to change my mind if the record is 7-5 or better.

Wright will be a Vol. He will already be enrolled by next season so what we do next year won't matter as far as Wright is concerned. Wright and Wanya are very close and he knows he will start day 1 at TN. Too many of the more reliable recruiting experts have him being a Vol lock as well as Atlanta Vol. He is probably a silent commit already, but will sign with the Vols in Feb.

I think Wright has a lot of conditioning to undergo. But, it is definitely going to be hard to keep him and Morris off the field this year.

I would be happy with a top 15 class this year. Hopefully UT shows enough improvement on the field to do even better in '20.
Only top 15, rather than top 5 or 6, very likely means we’ll fall even further behind our rivals in the SEC. I like this class, but we’ve got a huge talent deficit to make up versus Georgia, Alabama and others, and top 15 is only good.....we need great.
