You're wrong. And that's the problem.
Commitment Rate of Top 250 Amongst Those Offered
Saban 2010: 16%
Saban 2009: 20%
Saban 2008: 24%
Meyer 2010: 24%
Meyer 2009: 17%
Meyer 2008: 18%
Dooley is currently around 2% and will likely finish around 4%; that's the problem.
The problem is the crap pile Dooley was left...can you blame any of these uncommited recruits for being hesistant?
Dooley has his back against the wall in so many ways it's ridiculous...and yet you expect him to pull the same guys that two of the most successful coaches at two of the hottest programs in the country are pulling...do you have any idea how unreasonable that is?
Dooley is filling needs with quality players...several of which (Kerbyson, Smith, Randolph, Coleman, Dallas, Worley, Williams) are believed to be underrated by several people...and he's also setting us up for a great finish with several 4*'s....
Do me a favor...if you don't have a Rivals subscription use the 7 day free trial and go compare the films for the following players...
Kerbyson to Trip Thurman
Coleman to Jonathan Aiken
Randolph to Avery Walls
Smith to Devonta Freeman
Dallas to Terell Chestnut
Williams to Corey Marshall
Can you say with absolute certainty that any of the players on the right are significantly better than the UT commit on the left that I've compared them to?
Would your opinion of Dooley and our current class really be differant if Rivals gave these borderline 4* commits the 0.1 or 0.2 points they need for that irreplaceable and irrefutable 4th star?
You're calling this current class horrible and our coach a terrible recruiter because a bunch of guys who mostly have never played college football have made a subjective decision to not put an extra star next to those players names
But I'm sure I just wasted alot of my time and effort...neither one of us are going to change the other ones opinion on this
