Recruiting violation ESPN Roll Tide commercial

You made my point for me. I dont get some of the negative responses to this thread. Deep thinkers; for sure.:ermm:

The OP suggested ESPN's commercial violates NCAA rules. Perhaps the NCAA should ban ESPN from showing highlights of bowl games for 2 years and reduce the number of SportsCenter anchors by 1 this year and 2 in 2012.

Don't think anyone is denying it's good publicity for said program. It's the retarded idea that anyone would think this is somehow a NCAA violation.

Extremist. You know exactly what the op is saying. And as the unfair advantage that it is, it should cease. Promoting one team over others should be a violation of some obscure NCAA rule. There are plenty to choose from.

See:
Skill of team
Prestige of coaches
Location
Facilities
Smoke Machines
History of team
Playing time

That's just totally unfair...the NCAA needs to step in so every college football team is located in the same place, has equal stadium capacity and facilities, in addition to equal talent and a similarly skilled coaching staff.

Read the thread title genius.

I'm not the one being extreme. However you're the one agreeing with the guy who is being extreme.

I guess they should have blacked out the UT/Bama game this year . Only showed equal amount of highlights for each team.

Then you must void CW's contract immediately!

I think it's unfair that Alabama was in the 3:30 CBS time slot so often this season.

The NCAA should ban CBS from televising college football, or force them to put Vandy-Ole Miss as the season opening game in prime time for the next 5 years.

I don't think you grasped what the op was trying to convey; that it is an advantage, and probably should be stopped, and if necessary by an ncaa rule prohibiting such. Retarded is a strong word to use in response to a discussion thread; and use of such indicates a sore lack of vocabulary to express oneself properly. Furthermore, I believe he was asking the forum for an opinion on the matter.

And judging by the responses, most folks here thought his opinion was garbage.

But you got his back. :eek:k:

Clearly, the NCAA should tell ESPN and other networks how to market their programming, and punish ESPN for promoting schools that could potentially improve their ratings.
