Why is UT having such a hard time getting four and five star recruits.
I think this has been a big problem for us for years.

Hey, did you see we got another 4 star today? Pay attention.

If I looked at the charts right, it appears our average ranking is 3.17. No all that good.
Am I missing something?.

#4 class in the country, 18 players 4 star or higher, average star rating is 3.58, not 3.17.... which is 9th highest average on Rivals. I'd say you're definitely missing something .... #quantity&quality

Star avg is also within reasonable range of everyone in the SEC except Bama and about .2 above the norm for UT (which is significant).

Loosing season after loosing season and you accuse me of smoking?.

Just trying to be honest about our situation and the reasons for it.

You could have said you were being sarcastic! This thread would have gone so much better for you.

And.... UT has 10 guys in the Rivals250. That's about as close as it comes to Rivals guaranteeing that a player has all the tools to become a great CFB player.

And three running backs at 3, 4 and 5 stars respectively.

Chances are slim to none that all three will be a bust.

Shoot, there's a chance that at least two if not all three could have 1000 yard seasons in their collegiate career at some point. Especially if they RS one of them.

Another thought on our recruiting class, from our good friends at ESPN....

"The Tennessee class now features 11 ESPN 300 commitments and 17 four-stars. Fifteen of the VolunteersÂ’ 34 prospects in the class have already signed and enrolled.

Scott finished his stellar career at Havelock with a 58-5 record as the starting running back, including winning 47 of the last 48 with three consecutive state titles. He rushed for 6,166 yards in four seasons with 88 touchdowns on 656 carries. As a senior, he totaled 2,205 yards and 25 scores on 235 carries. He scored 34 touchdowns as a junior."

Didn't want you to miss this...

This. The 13 class is shown on the homepage, and it is rated at 3.17.

Right, I know everyone wants to pile on the guy, but it seems to be an honest mistake. He may be a Troll, I am not sure. But on the front page it lists last years recruiting class of 21 with an avg star rating of 3.17.

If you do not spend much time here I think it would be easy to see that and think its for the current class.

Just looking at the names on that list should be evident that the poster does not spend much time watching UT football.

Who didn't hear the names North or Dobbs at least once this year during the season?
