Have you had your head buried in the sand for the past year or been locked up in jail or something? You are looking at last years recruiting class rankings, not this years.

You're suffering from misperceptions of what the star ratings mean. It's most likely because you've played too much NCAA Football on Xbox. The game leads you to believe that 4 & 5 star athletes are way more common than they are and that 2 and 3 star athletes belong at Vandy.

The truth is that many of the top 150 athletes each year merit 3 stars. A 3 star athlete is an average to slightly above average NCAA athlete. These athletes are the foundation of any solid program. They provide depth and often start at may positions.

Before I hooked into this thread I was looking at our commit list . I guarantee you that outside of the SEC 90% of the D-1programs in the country would be thrilled to have a signing class of just the 14 EE signees. And their base would be estatic. Go check out the commitment lists of programs around the country even many of the "traditional powers" are not able to sign very many 4 & 5* recruits.

At this posting we have 17 four star players in this class according to Scout. Rivals has us with 2 five star players and 15 four star recruits. Plus there are a lot of three star guys that I feel have four star ability. This class is loaded.

People are quick to jump ass when someone makes a mistake.

Some people hate hearing it, but when you compete for a conference championships, that's when you can convince the 5*s to come play for you. Until then, they have too many teams that are of the championship caliber, wanting their services...and early playing time is a legit possibility.

Take Clifton Garrett and Adoree Jackson, for example. I was saying before the Auburn game that we would need to upset Mizzou and Auburn + win out...in order to land either of those guys. We simply had to beat the teams we are supposed to, and beat a few that no one expected.

That would have sent a loud and clear signal that the turn around has already begun. 5-7 doesn't just do that. Yeah. Yeah...Dooley this, Dooley that. It is what it is....CBJ is having to sell the FUTURE...not the present. Tough, tough sell to 5*s, who have everyone beating at their door.
