If we're recruiting at this level and we've been in total suckdom for 4 years, it's exciting to imagine the recruits we'll bring in when we're a perennial 9-11 win team.

But with Tennessee, Ole Miss and even Kentucky putting together highly-ranked recruiting classes and Mizzou winning a dozen games last season, the SEC is getting awfully strong beneath its upper echelon.

This really gets to me. I remember when we were "upper echelon."

In a 9 or 11 win season, recruiting will likely be down. Right now, we have the advantage of selling " Early Playing Time" In later years, we will not be able to sell the idea of "Early Playing Time"

We will at some point, be like " O'Bama" and have 5* as a starter and a 4* as the back up and no possibility of early playing time to offer an Freshmen or any JUCO's.

Been saying since day 1 that Butch can & WILL recruit here! The future is promising for the first time in awhile if fans will actually give him the time to turn it back around.

Let me say just a few things. First , I have a very good friend that attended his first Tennessee football game in 1940 in Nashville Tenn. I have been watching Tennessee Football since about 1960. So, I have lots of experience and insight on the program. Personally, I am more optimistic right now than I have been in many many years. Loved when I first heard that Butch Jones was hired. Even more convinced to this day that he is still the man for the job !!! He knows that Tenn is a special place for special people. Go Big Orange !!! It is time to prove it on the field !!!

And yet Bama still has the #1 class, and has for idk 4 years in a row?

I think you're wrong friend, at least on this point.^^ Recruiting should only rise as we win more, as recruits obviously like Jones & the staff and will be naturally attracted to a winning environment that preps players for the NFL (see Bama).

My guesstimate for our recruiting bonanza is 70% CBJ & staff and 30% that we have immediate job openings in multiple positions.

I'm looking at this class and think about half of them will be in the two deep. Just looking at the offense I see Hurd, Scott, Malone, Pearson, Helm, and Blair getting a lot of playing time.

Defense see seven or eight guys there. This class is our Immediate future to winning and losing. They will contribute immediately.
We'll see some older recruits leave during the summer or after the spring we'll be able to get another big class next year as well.

I think it's so funny that people will still ***** about what TN is doing. I guess they see the writing on the wall that TN is coming back. I love it! Go Vols
