I love this gif for a lot of reasons, but the funniest part to me is the various levels of commitment to be slain. Some are totally committed, hands overhead, and falling like they've been hit with a Louisville slugger. Others are turned around looking for a clean safe place to fall! Lol last one on the ground is a rotten egg!

I came to this thread genuinely interested in seeing if anyone that follows these kids has anything to post. Instead a bunch of church of God sermons (some of which are hilarious but still)...I hope we can get some actual feedback from the recruits as to wether the hire can improve our chances with any of them

J/k. I don't care for threads like this but one every now and then is ok. That is why I don't hang out in the FF. Everytime someone farts they start a new thread over there. I just peeked in there to see if they had a tweets thread stickied and there were about 15 Shoop threads on the first page alone! Scary over there.

I try to talk football over there, post links, etc. Ends up being a waste of time more times than not. I guess that's why I get irritated from time to time when I see that nonsense in the recruiting forum. It's almost as if Freak created 2 forums for 2 different types of fans. You have the football forum for the gamer/fantasy/smartest guy in the room fan and the recruiting forum for people who more than likely have probably played football or some other competitive sport and have been an avid fan for years.

Throw away threads like this aren't necessarily bad, I guess. It just sucks when I click on a thread such as this expecting to see recruits reactions to our DC hire and see something completely different than the thread title. I'm not trying to be the stick in the mud I'm made out to be. I just truly enjoy football and recruiting.

I don't understand how people can only follow one portion of VN. I follow FF, recruiting and off topic. You can't lump posters into individual categories because there are a majority like me who follow all of them.

I agree. I think the OPs intent was to have people supply exactly what you're talking about - it just didn't happen.

I'm not necessarily lumping anybody. It just seems since my stay here that's how and where people gravitated to. I was a 2 year lurker before I ever joined and got a handle and I found myself rarely clicking links in the football forum. It didn't seem people wanted to discuss the game as much. I too visit both, but when I want actual news I come to the recruiting forum. If I want to dick off, talk smack, etc. I go to the football forum. Even though I try to keep it football related.

I look at it like joining a political or gamer website and start posting threads about sports. It wouldn't make a lot of sense and would cause the fragile people that generally makeup those websites to lose their minds. Like I said, people can do what they want and say what they want. But that includes me adding my 2 cents as well. It's not that serious just an observation.

There's been some information from different sources on reactions to Shoop. Woody Wommack on Rivals asked several guys at the Army AA game about Tennessee hiring Shoop, and none of them were even aware Shoop existed. Some had no clue Jancek was even fired. We're in a dead period so a thread like this is going to struggle to get traction.

I don't necessarily believe that slightly off topic chatter is a bad thing either. This thread would already be buried 2 pages deep in this forum if it weren't being bumped by the occasional off topic post, thought, or gif. When the dead period ends on Wednesday, perhaps we'll get some more reactions to this hire because that type of information will be more readily available since Shoop will be on the road. Just a thought.

Some people are just born a**holes and you sir are one of them. So what I misspelled a word or two I thought we are all on the same team. Guess it's just cause I'm from Alabama you decided to throw your two cents in. Yeah I was born and raised in the heart of Alabama but I bleed orange, so say what you want you are no sweat off my back
