Just pointing out that when Shoop left, their defense was not good. Mason (who's a solid defensive guy himself) had to take over to get the defense back on track.

My point still proves how much of a factor Shoop played in their success.

I think Vandy defense was also in the 100 range the year before Shoop arrived. Penn St was awful on defense the year before Shoop arrived and made it #2 in country. This year he had to replace several key players and turned a walk on in the Def player of the year at DE as a 1st yr starter. Imagine what Barnett does next year. One of Penn St DT said he is a freaking genius. He clearly knows how to teach his system as it doesn't take long for kids to succeed

I like how you throw mecole hardman's n/a in there. That's about the most worthless information you could have included. Did he say "n/a", did someone ask him about the hire and he didn't respond? Why would n/a even been included in your post?

Sorry bro. Woody Wommack did an article for Rivals where he interviewed each of those 4 recruits specifically. I cut and paste the entire article into the response box and cut out the remainder of the article besides the Shoop responses. Hardman answered a couple of questions, none regarding Shoop. I just didn't delete Mecole's name.

Skip over the info if you don't like it.
