Redesigned College Helmets

Go Vols 247 just posted this article showing helmet redesigns for many of college football's power programs. Tennessee's redesign is basically the same as the traditional helmet, except with a black and orange checkerboard stripe. IMO, it's pretty awesome looking.

Tennessee Helmet Redesign

(Tried to directly like to UT, but you might need to scroll a few helmets through to get to Tennessee.)

I'm not normally too big on changing things up with uniforms, but I'd be 100% happy to see our Vols wearing these helmets.

The helmet should either be white and orange or a grey and orange helmet for alternates. Anything else looks awful.

Gray around the power T would polish it up a bit more, but the traditionalist will complain

I didn't like Bama's design and The alternate helmet ND already has is better than this one. Other than that they all look pretty good

I hope this a joke. The checkerboard stripe looks terrible. The big wide orange stripe is our best helmet look by a mile. Checkerboard is not a good look on anything, really, except an end zone. The women's soccer team got sucked into a checkerboard jersey last year that is HIDEOUS--terrible looking--and I hope to hell they ditch it for this season. It's awful. There is a reason nobody wears checkboard unis.
