Refs save Florida AGAIN

The officiating was consistently bad for 60 minutes last week, from the no call PI against Cleveland on our first possession, to an obvious face mask on Toney that wasn't called. The refs were absolute garbage last week.

Tonight we're debating whether or not an obvious hold should have been called this week, because a questionable holding call wasn't made last week.

But I'm delusional. :eek:lol:

Sure seems like it, funny how the one for you is sure fire holding, the one that would have been against you is "questionable"...

Refs let both teams hold all day last week.

Go take a look at Kelly's 34yd TD run, we had two guys getting held worse than what UK got flagged for before the missed FG.

Spare me the holding nonsense from last week.

You really don't know how to take your lucky ass Ws and shutup!

Lol actually I'm one of the few that am glad your team squeaked it out. I don't want the Gators looking around for a coach.

Refs didn't save UF. Gotta admit it was a hold. Haynes has to be better than that and be extra careful in that late situation.

This game perfectly personified UK football. And I think it was VSF that described it perfectly. A car crash that you can't help but be forced to watch, helpless to stop it. We play pretty well all things considered for about 90% of the game. The 10% though was about as game-changing and damning to our chances as it could possibly be.

But you can't have 5 or 6 plays that literally swing the game two or three touchdowns difference. No words for our ineptitude to avoid monumental mistakes.

Such anger... :eek:lol:

Regardless of last night's outcome, UF fans know McElwain isn't the answer for us long term. Short term we're all just a bunch of knats biting at Bama's ankles.

Recent history tells us we'll make the right hire before you guys do. In the meantime it's Nick Saban's world and we're all paying rent.

It is uncanny how UF has been the beneficiary of things like this. Play clock hit 0 on two game winning FG's in 2014.

There is no doubt that Bama gets the benefit of the doubt. I have heard about the controversy last week when the SEC replay official overturned the KSU fumble return for a TD when it was not conclusive and officiated by a Big 12 crew.

It's the SEC way.

No John McDaid did the game last week. Don't know the guys name who did the U.K./UF game tonight. He might be new, first time I remember seeing him.

You should know him, he's terrible. He screwed us against SCar last year. Ofc we didn't help ourselves.

I don't have any anger. I'm too lazy to blue font that first part lol

You might have missed those two plays where UK simply refused to cover our WRs.

Those two plays played a much bigger role than the legitimate holding call on UK late in the game. The UK lineman was holding.

Never seen anything like it twice in one game including the game winner lol

I wish at the end we had just allowed UF to score with a few minutes left instead of waiting to the last minute in the redzone.

Outside a couple very weak-hearted attempts to hold the ball in the 3rd/4th we moved the ball well. Even with 40 something seconds we gave ourselves a chance in UF territory.

Allowing UF to gash us for 5 yards the 5 minutes over and over was just brutal.

When I was watching live, I actually thought that was the strategy - just concede a TD. But then on replay, they noted only 10 men on the field.

Tough game but from what I can tell, your QB looks much improved over last year.
