from everything i have seen lately charles is a LOOOONNNNGGG shot to come to UT[/B]. I see ut getting Brown and Geather...and the other 2 going wherever, who cares if it aint UT.

Would you elaborate? I'm curious about what you've seen lately?

Also, Geathers was all about UT until UGA decided to go ahead and offer him. He's UGA bound IMO.

why do people think charles is coming to UT??? his best friend is aaron murray... we have never been a leader for his services

legit point... I know he wants to be a traditional, pro style TE - would definetly fit in perfectly here at UT ... but the UGA scheme seems to offer the same advantages for him. He and Aaron are close.

two reasons...playing time and atmosphere

Atmosphere as in campus or gameday? Either way that is awfully debatable.

You do know they already signed another highly ranked TE, right?

Can you tell me why you think UGA has better opportunities for playing time?

they arent like blood brothers just played one season together...Plus he didnt have a pleasant convo with richt when they talked last. They picked up another highly rated TE and charles is worried about PT at UGA. I really dont think he will go to USC hes just in it for the free trip. Plus hes been talking about us alot and called our coaches recently to get more info on how we will use him.

thats great news!!

I didn't know about the unpleasant convo with CMR... All i have heard is how CUM is trying to trick this kid into becoming a hybrid TE/Slot Receiver

He was talking about UT, not UGA.

Mills, sorry for the reply, brain fart on my part! I take it you indeed think Charles is going to UT, as do I.

Dont get me wrong it wasnt an unpleasant convo but I think afterwards there were still things left up in the air that he wanted answers to.

The fact that he called kiffin and cheney is a huge deal for us. He also gave volquest a interview this late into his recruitment. We r sitting high on his list. Cross your fingers!

Matt Barkley - UT
Dre Kirkpatrick - UT
Rueben Randle - UT
D.J. Fluker - UT
Sheldon Richardson - UT
Manti Te'o - UT

...Doesn't hurt to hope that everyone gets a hardship release to move to Tennessee...!

In reality, I think we only get Oku.

Will Charles be used as a TE if he decides to come, or is there a possibility of him becoming a big bodied receiver? I realize that at 6'3" 230 he'd probably be a better fit as a TE, but I was just curious if they might try him outside early and move him inside in a year or two?

he is adament about being a classic TE because he takes pride in blocking - that is why UF is no longer in the running

Brown - Tennessee

Charles - Tennessee

Oku - Auburn

Geathers - Georgia

GO VOLS!

Sounds about right to me, but I'm going to switch Auburn with Ole Miss for Oku. Just got a feeling he is looking for anywhere to commit. I believe we get both Charles and Brown while Geathers takes GA's BS offer.

And for the 100th time, Charles transferred to Plant for ONE season. He and Aaron Murray are NOT best friends. Many times he has said that Murray doesn't have much if any of an impact on his decision. Plus GA got MB, and that is certainly not beneficial to Charles...

I love that UM's coach is pulling the offer from Brown. That's sack and telling the #1 prospect to screw off if he wants to string you along.

Charles is a huge land for us because he is so versatile. You can literally put him at TE to block or move him out wide at WR. He will be hard to track for any Defense and I think where ever he ends up he will play as a freshman.

Thanks for the info. The only thing I was really curious about was his blocking ability, but you cleared that up for me. Hope we can bring him to Knoxville.
