Good deal with the updates. I am not too disappointed in Francois not visiting because I think we have a better chance than expected to land with McNeil or McKenzie. Then I guess we still have some chance with Burnett too.

But, on that same note, I hope Francois does not go to LSU because he is going to be great. Non-SEC school would be good for him...

Yeah, I really don't know who would pick him up other than LSU right now, though. LSU's class could be stacked if they end with McKnight, Toliver, Jones, Francois, Devine, etc. I don't think it happens(at most I think they land 3 of those).

sign hall and sykes and place them. creer, jones , mckenzie and moore to finish out our class would be outstanding.

Yup, any of those safeties would do. Maybe we add Austin just for icing(and a possible record 9 5 stars if McKenzie and Willingham make that jump).

If we landed all of that, anyone with gripes about this class would have to immediately be banned. That would be the best class ever at UT, unquestionably. USC holds the record with 8 5* players in one class. That would tie it in the least.

i'm already happy with the class. i would like to get more d-lineman because we have been pushed around for awhile, but i think langley can contribute as a fresh. austin would be unbelievable.

Well, that likely won't be remedied by true freshmen. Mapu is solid, he just needs some time in the weight room to get back in peak condition. Bolden is just itching to break through. Fisher could be pretty solid if he could stay healthy. Nelson and Thomas need to add weight if they are going to be DTs.

I heard a lot last preseason about Dan Williams. The only time I can recall him playing was mopup duty against Memphis. Is he switching to OL? Or is he just not pushing for playing time at DL?

I think the move to OL is getting more and more inevitable unless our current DTs completely underwhelm Phil in the spring(especially since Langley will be there as well).

Prolly just BS. Maybe he is saying there will be an update on Sykes' and/or Hall's visit. I don't think anyone that we are recruiting right now is set to commit(other than those 2).

Does this include invited walk-ons? Their was an article in the Chattanooga paper Saturday about a kicker from Dalton High School that had been invited to walk-on. His name is Adrian Mora and he has a good leg. He hit 2 54 yard field goals this year and had a 43.6 yard punting average and is a 3.9 student. The problem is he doesn't have the money to walk-on so will probably take a Navy scholarship or a smaller school that has offered. Another choice would be to walk-on at Georgia but he would be able to use the Hope Grant and get in. Anybody heard of any other invitees?

No it doesn't. There are several walk-ons every year.

O.K., Maybe I should ask this question differently. I realize that we have walk-ons every year but how many of those are encouraged to walk-on as opposed to wanting to just be on the team. To me, an encouraged walk-on is someone we would really like to give a scholly to but we don't have one available.

There are invited walk-ons but I have no idea on how many we specifically give out. I think there is also an opportunity for players to walk-on but they have a tryout of some sort.
