Remaining DTs on the board

Wait a minute, now... just because we haven't solved the DT problem in over three years doesn't mean we won't eventually crack this one.

I know, everyone here should just eat like pigs, surely someone can get to 300lbs and we can sit their fat a$$ out there. Problem solved.

6-11' 395.

I don't know how well this kid plays, but, man, he'd be an awesome pick for the coin toss.

To be that big and not highly rated, he has got to be one of the worst athletes ever. He could lay down and roll and occupy a guard and center.

it'd be interesting if we took a chance on him, just to see what strength and conditioning coaches could do with him...he would be even better than Mount Cody on field goal blocks, i'd save a scholarship on team just to let him attempt to block field goals

I read earlier today that Dalvin Glass is going to go JUCO! Maybe we can snatch him after he gets his academics in order. He wanted Tennessee in a bad way. I like Niutapaui and Jones for DT. Broussard to if he can can his academcs right. OL why not try to steal Henderson from the stooges at USC. Last I read he wasn't going to sign until he sees what the NCAA is going to do to SoCal later this month.

Terrell Brown is an OL. Danged Bray would be hitting him in the back with the ball. Would be nice if he could turn around and play DT could lead the team in INTs. U know there'd be no pass completions over the middle. Glass is going JUCO. He committed to Trinity in Texas today. GBO

Just teach him to start low, snort like a bull then explode up out of there and take everything with him. Find out what makes him really really mad.:eek:hmy:

It would be really nice if we could pick up two of these guys. Our D line depth is scary to say the least.
A power running game would eat us up in the 4th quarter of games.

Does anyone know if there is any unsigned players left that CDD and staff are interested in signing?

Try Harris Bivin, can play center (ESPN 6th ranked center) and defensive tackle, just what the doctor ordered. Also, Chase Peterson, offensive guard. They apparrently didn't sign as expected with Louisville. Bivin committed early well before the coaching change there, then finally visited there in January. Strong must not have clicked with Bivin.

If theres potential talent out cdd and wilcox will find it. I'm curious about who we have that did not hardly take a snap last year. Perhaps who has gained 20 or so pounds maybe on the o line, that wilcox and smith can trane. Long time till kickoff for 2010. Just wondering?

Vols have no one on current roster to train up at DT. Victor Thomas is in line to start at DT as Senior next year. I believe Dooley and Wilcox found Bivin some time ago. I would be shocked if TN didn't make a late offer to him as Calvin Smith and J. C. Copeland slipped away. Vols were interested in Bivin before he committed to Louisville. He would be at the top of Rubio's famous data base.

I am going on the record. The Vols are recruiting Bivin very heavily as we speak. My prediction... Bivin will visit Knoxville soon... and sign LOI. You heard it here first.

Rivals shows that Bivin signed LOI to Louisville.

Rivals shows that Bivin signed LOI to Louisville.

Try University of Louisville official site. They do not include Bivin as signee. ESPN and Scout.com have Bivin as a Louisville verbal commit, but unsigned.

Hello to all, I'm a first time poster but I have visited this board for a number of years. I think we are very fortunate to have such a resource of information to share pertaining to our love for UT football. First of all I would like to say that I know that many of you are very passionate about the subject matter and that I respect everyone's opinion.
CDD and staff did an outstanding job considering the challenges they were faced with.
With that said I feel very strongly that we must focus all of our attention on our need areas, i.e. DL and OL. I was wondering if anyone will post a list of potential JUCO lineman for 2011.
