Remaining Targets (discussion welcome)

I am salivating about how NSD will be for us. That performance today combined with the turnover and screw ups in bowl games for other programs sets up perfectly for us to close strong.

This could give us a real bump with several of the key recruits over the next 4 weeks. Nothing like positive momentum leading up to NSD. Looking to close with Phillips, Jones, Allen, and St Louis.

Thank you dust!
I appreciate you putting this together. This is the best place to cut through the bs and follow recruitment.
Awesome

I think we land Phillips, Sapp, Allen, Jones, Newsome, and Love, but will have to make room.

Definitely get Phillips and Allen.

Gonna have to make a lot of room. Phillips puts us at 30 counters in this class and we will get more commitments. Going to have to start trimming soon

Thought I'd put together a list of targets that A) seem to be interested in becoming Vols and B) we seem to be interested in signing.

This is sort of like the targets/commits thread, but gives a place where serious targets are listed and can be discussed in one thread (seems like stickied threads don't get much discussion).

Here is my personal assessment (small chance, 50/50 chance, or strong chance) of where I personally think we stand.

No doubt there will be names added and subtracted from this list as we get closer to NSD. I'll keep the thread updated if there is interest.

Discussion and debate welcome :hi:

Offensive Targets

QB:
Sheriron Jones (strong chance)
Deondre Francois (50/50 chance)

RB:
Bryce Love (strong chance)
John Kelly (small chance)

WR:

Van Jefferson (small chance)
Ryan Newsome (50/50 chance)

OL:

Tyree St. Louis (50/50 chance)
Pat Allen (50/50 chance)

Defensive Targets

LB:
Quarte Sapp (50/50 chance)

Removed Phillips (Boom) and Walker. There might be a few new names that pop up once the dead period ends.

Give us Allen and/or St Louis, Newsome, Love and Sapp. However it works, thanks to Butch and the rest of the coaches for all the hard work! Awesome class!

We signed a full class last year and that means we can only have 25 in this class. Abernathy transfer and Swafford will bring that number down to 23. A blue shirt from last year takes the number to 22. So, we can only have 22 initial counters, players who are not gray shirts or blue shirts. EE are initial counters so some of these other players are going to have to be gray shirted, blue shirted or walk ons. Needless to say we are going to have to trim some of these players for the numbers to work out.

I think we're better than 50/50 with Sapp. Seein him here this past week in Bristol at the Arby's Classic and getting to speak with he and his coach I get the feeling we might be OK with this one. By the way he is one hell of a bball player also and can leap. Great kid!

Abernathy and Swafford count against the 85...not the class...Justin King just left...so that spot along with Drae Bowles...takes care of those two...you should know...they have to do it this way at Vandy also.

It is my understanding that Abernathy and Swafford will be initial counters and will count against the 25 number. Could be wrong.

Both Allen and St Louis? Wow... I would be happy if those were the only two commitments between now and signing day. I really want the O-line to not only become great this year, but remain rock solid and deep for 2016.
