I wonder how he turns out. He obviously has ability, sitting out a year to transfer and another year maturing and maybe he'll realize it.

I agree. A kid that's 6'9 with a 43" vertical should not be getting beaten out by the likes of Steven Pearl and Brian Williams. He seems like a kid that has had everything handed to him his whole life and is unwilling to put the time in to develop his game and realize his potential. It's really a shame.

but you honestly have no idea if that is the case or not, and you are just making the assumption. you are entitled to your opinion as much as anyone on this board, but that doesnt mean you need to call him swipersuck. its just not in good taste.

Being born to wealthy parents and having everything handed to you are not synonymous. It could be he was simply overrated coming out of high school and/or never adjusted to the college game. As far as I know (and please correct me if I'm wrong) he is a good citizen and people should stop bashing him. He's still a Vol.

A guy with his height and frame and the ability to shoot should be able to play D1 basketball. You can claim whatever you like, but if he worked as hard as some other kids he would be a player. I'm not bashing him either, just saying the people acting like this is completely outside his control are kidding themselves.

sounds like a bunch of teenage girls in here calling D-1 players names.... the sad part is not a single one would say sh*t to his face.

Yes, that's obviously a completely unreasonable assumption. Maybe I'm just wrong and Steven Pearl is actually just more talented than RW.

My thoughts exactly.

He'd never see the floor there, either.

Maybe I know nothing about there program as far as depth and who is coming in. I just know what i was told. I hate it for the kid. It is never good for your program when kids transferr out for whatever reason. We'll just have to wait and see.

I disagree. It could be a good move for both sides.

I don't think he's going to transfer and there certainly hasn't been any real indicators. He still seems to have the same good attitude and his time will come. I honestly hope he puts in the effort during the offseason so he can be a contributor next season. He's got a big long body and good athleticism, there's no reason he shouldn't at least be able to contribute. He seems like a really good guy so I hope things get better for him, but it's obvious he needs to be putting in more effort.

Just ignore the haters, they feel the need to constantly scream so they can partake in the same argument with the same material, it's really getting old.

Pearl might not be as athletically gifted but I would bet he's hungrier. As much ish as he hears from opposing fans (as well as folks on here) I'm sure that drives him to bust his butt.

That's my point exactly. He works harder than RW.

not once did i say it was "obviously a completely unreasonable assumption"... all i said was it was an assumption. you have no idea how hard the kid works on a day to day basis. but if work ethic is his problem, what does he honestly expect to get out of transferring?

No, I just have an idea that the people playing ahead of him work harder. That one's obvious.

Did you not see his Twitter update? He said he was working hard on the scout team so that he could make the team better. He has heart I feel bad because he isnt doing as good as I hope he would. He is working and he knows what you people say about him and he's hurt about it. I support him not matter what I will never bash a player becuase they aren't meeting expectations. No one here knows what is going on in these kids lifes/minds. Give them a break.

You did go out on a limb and say he has had everything handed to him his entire life, for which you have no basis. If you get your rocks off bashing 19 year olds that's cool too I guess.

Not exactly true. Not to be livivng a movie here but some kids just have the gift. Like Booby miles in the movie FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. When they asked why he didnt lift he replied This is God Given! The point is I can work on my game all day long but Cameron tatum and Scottie Hopson can drink a beer, eat some potato chips and be better than I ever will because they have god given ability.

Renaldo has all the ability. I think he probably found things easy for him back in highschool and to push through the breaking point here in college has been difficult. I hope he put everything together for him and the Vols.

So, no matter how hard Woolridge works, Steven Pearl and Williams will still be better than him? Indianavol, there's some criticism of RW that you need to be crying about. I have fully admitted that I think the guy is very, very talented.

Except he has almost zero playing time in 5 or 6 games.

So that means he's going to transfer? No, he's being positive and working on the scout team to make himself and the team better. He's not whining or crying, yet people are still on here destroying him.
