Though it does seem as if they actually checked BD's background it also appears to confirm atleast 1 rogue booster and possibly 2 that MSU authorities have identified which, unfortunately for you, is not good news. Also, iirc, Will is not eligible to play and lost his ability to redshirt, right?... (self imposed)Full update for UT fans that are interested. This one actually starts to question the legitimacy of DeVinner as a witness.

That was Logan Young. Tommy Gallion was the attorney repping some of the Bama coaches and who continually appeared on Finebaum to suggest he was about to blow the lid off of Fulmer/UT cheating but never delivered.
I won't go into the details but I pissed off a stripper who was a big Bammer because she was convinced Phil Fulmer was in on the "murder" of Logan Young. She got tired of me mocking her. (guess I did go into the details).

Has not happened yet, but is expected IMO...
I'm not saying that NOTHING happened, it obviously did for an assistant coach to be let go and a booster to be disassociated. I'm just saying that NOTHING Byron De'Vinner spews to the media can be taken as the gospel truth of the situation. None whatsoever. Already had at least one person(owner of the restaurant he accuses of comping meals) come out calling bs on his story.
There will be penalties, but they will be small penalties... short probation, loss of some visits, maybe a scholarship or two for a year or two. It's really not a very big story, IMO. Has made coming to any CFB-related message board a real nightmare, particularly the State boards, where many fans are trying to compare to our crippling sanctions in the early 00s, when there is no logical comparison to be made. We were repeat offenders then. Not now.
Don't know the whole story, but I do know this: Your posts, unlike those of some of your fellow MSU fans who come here, are polite; well-thought out; and mature.
It's the mouth breathers that always seem to delight in going to an opposing teams site and demonstrating their ignorance that annoy me.
You, I have no issue with. Welcome aboard, and thanks for the info.
Go Vols.

Basically that whole 7 on 7 team is involved it appears, over multiple seasons.
The NCAA is trying to keep 7on7 from becoming as corrupt as AAU.
If all the good players attend 7on7 you are forced to at least indirectly deal with leeches like Devinner.
Memphis is the most corrupt area to recruit in the country. Hasn't Dooley been very hesitant is dealing with the Memphis scum, to the point he has refused to recruit a few good players just because of the crooked coaches with their hand out?
