Rest In Peace

Omg. I was just relearning pound cake yesterday and watched videos on him all day. Had no idea

The first two songs on Van Halen, well, really the whole album, was a helluva introduction to the world. Listening to Eruption now, simply guitar mastery.
I was almost 16 when that album hit. I couldn't get a powerful enough sound system to give VH justice. Deer Lawd knows I tried.

I was a Sammy version of Van Halen but Edwards mastery of pinch filled harmonics, tap harmonics, two hand tapping, even the way he held a pic was so unique. Try playing rhythm that way. It’s impossible

Diver down was one of their least popular albims, but it has some real gems

Little guitars is my favorite VH song.

I was a die hard fan of DLR VH and I loved Sammy VH too.

Eddie and Angus are my two favorites, in that order. Not saying either or were the best, just saying my favorites.

Really saddened by losing Eddie.

RIP.

When I was 14 my dad wanted me to have a summer job so he took me to a music store in Nashville and I taught evh style lessons that summer. At the time I just liked being able to play guitar all day. But towards the end of it I started digging in on the little things he did that shaped what everyone was hearing when he played. Some of it I couldn’t get a lot of it I will never get. Lol.
