Sorry the point of the post keeps passing over your head.
I would be willing to bet only one of us plays golf for a living, and actually the whole left side moves together if you want to know where the ball is going.
To "fire" the hips first puts the butt of the club too far in front of you and the clubhead laid off and too far behind you at the point directional control is pure luck.
I absolutely have the point here. I realize some people do not feel superstitious in any way about things. But maybe, just maybe, if you hit a hole in one on your next round or shoot a personal best, you might want to do things that might allow you to recreate it the next time out. I'd imagine you might have a lucky ball, club, shirt, hat, glove, etc that you might use or an activity (i.e warm up, breakfast) prior to playing that you might want to use again before the next round. Call me crazy to think in a way as to want to bring the perception of future luck based on past performance.
Personally, I do not care if we wear them. I realize the paint doesn't cause you to win or lose. But maybe it does something mentally to a team that had a bad run in with them in the past if they get punched in the face at first while wearing them. Just a thought. Hell, if we come out in them it's go damn Vols and the same if we don't.
And finally, while I have no doubt you can teach something about golf (and get paid for it, making someone a "pro") getting paid to play it for a living is something quite different and not too many in the world are quite capable of doing that. So, if you are, cheers to you brother. I hope you make a ton of money and have all the success.
But when you slow down Rory's video with driver, you have to appreciate his lead hip disassociating first before "the entire front side just goes together including the hands." As long as you properly shallow the club by pulling down working toward the slot to begin the downswing and maintain the proper angle in the lead wrist you can avoid the excess layback.
