Rick Barnes discussion [merged]

I'd take Porter from Loyola at this point. They look competitive, competent and well coached all the time. Pipe dream. We won't be looking for a coach until 2025 at the earliest, probably longer. Hopefully football has recovered by then.

This entire year has been an abject failure by Barnes to instill an actually competent offense. You’ve managed to fill out a team with a bunch of basketball players who can’t shoot and it hasn’t improved at all. That’s on Barnes.

And he continues to let them jack up shots.

They have completely neglected their mid range game today.

You’re mad. I get it. Doesn’t mean firing him is the right move. He’s easily one of the best coaches in UT history.

He's 4th or 5th at UT in the modern era, which I consider post integration, but if you look at his total career he's the 2nd most accomplished coach we've had.

He’s not caring how pathetic of a fan you are and can’t wait to play for a HOF coach with a team in need of a true point guard
Barnes will have to have some major late career magic after this to make the Hall of Fame. Games like today are too prominent in a career that celebrates post season success above all.

He is a career Under achieving coach. Look at some of the players he had at Texas and they made 1 Final 4. He’s so overrated

People don't seem to realize how few college coaches make the Hall of Fame. Barnes would be in the hall of being pretty good most years for a long time.
