Is that a dog joke ? What's that mean ? Yeah, I'm high, but I don't get it. Oregon St. , the SEC TCG against Auburn were horrible, I agree. But did you watch Loyola-Chicago and Purdue, yeah, we lost, but come on. Both games were one lucky bounce, without KA and a bad foul call away from being another Sweet 16 and a 2nd all-time Elite 8, luck. It happens. I'm not happy with the Tournament results, neither. Still, Barnes will get you that chance for that magical run. Fire him and nobody's touching this job. U know what I'm frustrated about, I want more BHH, the , and Powell. That's what pisses me off more than 2 one possession losses in the NCAA TournamentI bet he makes great litter boxes.
Yeah, more BHH, AIDOO, and POWELL.Is that a dog joke ? What's that mean ? Yeah, I'm high, but I don't get it. Oregon St. , the SEC TCG against Auburn were horrible, I agree. I really don't understand so many posters bringing up Wade Houston, Buzz Ball, etc as if that somehow means Barnes has a lower ceiling. Those coaches have been gone for close to 20 and 30 years. What possible influence do they have on the current state of the program?
Not to get into the Barnes debate but what drives me insane is the ignorance with people ignoring what happened during the Houston, O’Neill, Green, Buzz run. For 20 years (1985-2005) Tennessee had a bad basketball program. Before that, it was good. Since 2005, it’s been good. Okay who was in charge during that 20 years? Doug Dickey. He didn’t care about basketball and had no clue how to help run a successful basketball program. If you take out Doug Dickey, Tennessee has a very good basketball program. Everyone thinks Mike Hamilton is an idiot and he hired a very good coach and an average coach in Pearl and Martin.
If he follows his history, he will bring more tournament defeats. Is that a dog joke ? What's that mean ? Yeah, I'm high, but I don't get it. He is definitely “above average” for coaching years . He’s just not in the same class as the coaches that he is being paid equally to such as Coach K, Jay Wright, Calipari, Roy Williams
3 of those are at Blue Blood programs and Villanova is arguably a new Blue Blood. Blue Bloods have a huge advantage with seeding, recruiting, officiating, and other things.
Cal and Roy inherited blue blood programs, but Wright and Coach K built their programs into blue blue bloods. Big difference there.
And we get it, everyone else in the entire country has had more advantages and an easier path than Barnes. If only Barnes had those same advantages he would be the GOAT. The man has been held down for so long at every stop in comparison to his peers im shocked he has even found any sort of success. Hopefully there will be some sort of affirmative action plan in place so that this travesty of injustice doesn't happen to future coaches like it has to Barnes. Bless his heart.
Lol again he can coach for another 20 years and I'll be happy but I keep thinking "maybe this is the year they make that deep run" only to be disappointed. Why can't he get any consistent offensive play?
Maybe one day you can make a derogatory post and actually post accurate information. Bless your heart.Cal and Roy inherited blue blood programs, but Wright and Coach K built their programs into blue blue bloods. Big difference there.

The same “we” that you mention in your posts like this one:
“We need an alternative, not a redesigned default offense”
Barnes is the result of his own discrepancies when it comes to coaching. Every great big man he has recruited to UT has not panned out for whatever reason. BHH is a 5 star player that is playing behind Uros Plavisc. Poor Rick BarnesCal and Roy inherited blue blood programs, but Wright and Coach K built their programs into blue blue bloods.
