Well Rich said that it wasn't RS' fault that we kept fumbling, but in a way,it is.Whenever your in the redzone, aren't you supposed to hold the ball with two hands not one?Isn't the coach supposed to teach him that?Is the program not teaching basic fundamentals?

I'm really tired of this rectum and his comments. He calls out the fans every chance he gets. He has no idea what he's talking about. He doesn't know anything about what needs to be done for the direction of this program. He's played one half of football since he's been here and he thinks he knows all. He won't be here after this year so he just needs to shut his mouth. I don't want his Bama-lovin' brother either. Jimmy was on the sideline at the Bama game wearing a Bama shirt and hat cheering on the tide the whole time. Meanwhile his older brother is play QB for the other team. This family is phsyco and I'm tired of Daddy Clausen too.
I know, this is extreme, I've just been holding it in too long. Forgive me if you are pissed after reading this. :thefinger:

all i can say is thank u jmx for being man enough to type this. i can stand the clausens and i hope jimmy stays in the west coast. they are not southern style qbs and i could care less for all of them.

You don't seem to know as much as you think about the Clausen's. Jimmy was in Southern Calif for the bama game and does not own a Bama jersey or hat. The way I hear it he looking strongly at this weeks opponent, N.D., and as bad as this team is playing this year they would be lucky to get anybody with his talent level.

Me TOO, I'll admit some fans are out of line. But most fans bleed orange and support the team. If he doesn't like the criticism then play better. Stop falling short of the first down marker, don't throw the ball after you've past the line of scrimmage. etc etc. He has worn out his welcome. Rick, you are as much of the problem as Sanders was.

That little yellow line on the field must be harder to see while on the field than it is from the TV... :D

Not pissed at all... I too will be glad when the Clausen era is over at Knoxville.

I bet you were one of the first to be on his band wagon when he came to the rescue at LSU.

I'm not happy about every snap he has taken in the last 2 years, nor some of his coments, but he did a heck of a job last year and sure made LSU look like crap.

Now till you can fill his place and do better, why don't you just read the post and not show how much of a child you are?

I like the comments that Rick made...I think they are exactly how he feels and what's wrong with that...He didn't come out and slame anyone person, just told it like he feels...He's taking his part of the blame for a sloppy offensive year...He's actually correct, one interception here and a couple of fumbles that happened are the difference in the season...Thus, Sanders being OUT...Now, how I feel is we do need a change in the coaching mix...Phil has to either change the offensive coaching strategy from top down or hire some guys that can bring in some new ideas...Otherwise, this will continue another year or two and then he's on the hot seat...UT fans expect and fund a top notch program, nothing less than that...

Well if Rick wants to take all the blame then by all means let's heap it all on him then.

Anyone who says "It's my fault" and STILL plays piss poor week after week needs to transfer back to LSU because we don't need failure on our team.

Hey Rick if it is your fault and you can play better, what's stopping you? Or is this really the best you can give? Sit down, get your tissue, and shut your pie hole. Since you're clearly not part of the solution you're obviously part of the problem. Whining in front of the cameras about the evil fans only shows me what kind of person you are. If you're half the man you say you are then prove us naysayers wrong, reach down, grab like you have a pair and win a !#$@#$ football game by scoring more than 14 points.

I'm kind of proud of a kid who'll admit his faults. At least he wasn't making an excuse and passing the buck. It's not like our receivers have been lights out, but he doesn't blame them, and that's stand up.

I took a lot of his comments to be disappointment at RS' leaving and fear that his performance helped do the guy in. I feel sure RS has been a personal friend to the family, since they've all known each other since Casey came on the team.

BS.. and if not then you need to study the game. he may not have all the skills you think he should have, but they beat any of us on this board. If you have been a Vol fan for anytime at all, then you were surely one of those who were boeing Payton his freshman year. shows what they knew doesn't it...

Back the Vols and get off bashing any of them. I happen to have a little more info than some of you know about it all.

They are all 18-22 years old, and I challenge you to try and make a split second decision as they have to make, and yes we all expect them to be perfect.

I do admire him for standing behind his coaches and taking the blame. I'm sure your boss would like for you to take that approach to your loyalty

Look Owl, I can have an opinion, and it is that I don't like nor have I ever liked anyone named Clausen. That cool with you? No, I know it's not, but it's just something you're gonna have to accept... a dissenting opinion to yours.

The guy is a college student who is upset that he lost his COACH. If any of you guys ever lost a trusted coach from one year to the next, as a player, you would understand the frustration. I lost a head coach, as a player, between my junior and senior year in high school and it took me a while to trust the new coach.

Again, ya'll should respect his loyalty to his trusted coaches, whether or not you believe he is the best coach available for the job!!

Isn't it strange that Clausen speaks out and that he is not scheduled to start against ND?

Yes yuo can have your opinion I never said that. I was just asking all of us to cut him some slack. He lost his coach and he felt like he had a hand it that. I'm sure you never played anything above high school if that. If you have and have ever had or lost a coach and you felt like you let him down then you would know where Rick is speaking from. I said I hadn't been pleased with everything he has done but he sure rolled up his get it done last year and at LSU. Had he and others done better we might just be 6-1 and not 3-4. Then we wouldn't even be talking about this.

Now go study some film :)

Do you have to have played football at some level in order to give an opinion on it? I understand Rick's affection for Randy, but I didn't care for Rick BEFORE he came out and said this. I also said nothing about his performance against LSU, or anyone else for that matter, so I don't quite understand why I should go back and "watch the film." I will say that he played extremely well for two quarters this season, and that I support him and every player that puts on the orange and white every Saturday. That doesn't mean that I won't be sad or upset when he's gone next year however.
