Rickea Jackson Minutes

Discipline vs punishment. Correction?
Kellie pick four players tranfer portal two freshmen horston and marta returing from injury most importing they was finding why key was feeling bad. Kellie hands where full Kellie gives clues most anyone can got on jackson. my to two cents sounds like did what best for the team kellie that is. Agree coach jumper kellie answer ? from Cora Hall we do not need play by play let play and kellie coach time talk about something else.

It was nice to see Jackson back in the game. She didn't seem rusty at all after missing a couple of games. She was smooth and accurate. Truly a quality player. I did note that her demeanor seemed a bit more serious and solemn than in the past. Hopefully she has learned from this situation and will grow from it.
Definitely seemed more subdued imo.

Harper's comments after the game do seem to indicate an attitude issue in some area that is apparent in practice, so that could be listening to coaches, committing to defense, playing team ball, temper issues, etc. It is not for us to know the specifics. I am glad that coach Harper assessed that there was a problem to address and apparently set some guidelines for RJ to meet for her to reinstated. This not only set a message for RJ but to the entire team that they have a coach who can give tough love without favoritism towards the superstar. Not enough coaches are strong enough to do it this way. Great coaching move KJH,

Holding RJ out of the Va Tech game was ballsy for sure considering how badly we needed that win and with 2 other players out. Definitely a message. Please basketball gods let it be the last one necessary this season.

Next one we could assume is permanent. “If” there is a next one

It was a build up that was building after a string of early losses. Good that it happened and resolved hopefully for the teams sake. Was it proactive or reactive? Opinions will vary but it hopefully the message is heard.

Glad to see RJ back and see her have a good game. Maybe this got her attention enough to keep things good going forward. I will be in your arena on Jan 5 and hope to get to speak to her a minute after the game.

You can't play for lottery status or future endorsement which tend to solo play but championship ball is team ball.
No more Diamond era.
I've seen every game, most of the home ones in person. And I've never seen RJ play selfish or solo. In fact, she's a really good passer and sees the floor well. She doesn't go crazy one on one near as much as far less talented offensive players do. I don't think any problems were oncourt, except perhaps the yelling at Walker for failure to pass. Which is something we all do frequently!

I concur

Spot on. RJ has a very high basketball IQ , sees the court very well, and seldom makes a bad decision. She has been very much a team player. And her defensive effort has been ramping each game. There should be no complaints about her on court performances.

If even some of the speculation is on the mark as to why, then imo Coach was in some danger of losing the locker room if she were not suspended .
