i'll take 8 a game. What you described is Jordan Horston (minus the dislike for defense), who is an honorable mention AA. I'll take that. I'm not worried about not playing defense. I'm sure Kellie promised her that she would have to play defense to see the floor. Everyone else does, Jackson will, too. The thing is both players are major league talent and both have the capacity to play elite basketball on both sides of the floor. Horston is something of a Wild Thing, but Kellie is bringing her efficiency along when it comes to scoring and ball handling, and her rebounding and defense are elite. If Jackson gets 8 rebounds a game she'll be very helpful. But I take your point, and agree that I want to see three point shooters evolve into starting roles, or vice versa. That is one of our most pressing weaknesses.

That's Rickea. It's my opinion any minutes she gets would be better spent on Justine who will, in my opinion, in her freshman year beat all of the above numbers by a considerable margin and play defense.

I hope that by January Rickea and Walker are backing up Horston and Pissott on the wing, That Sara has nailed down the 4 and Karoline has rebuilt her body and is a capable backup to Key and Puckett, that Wynn will be committed to becoming an elite defender that can serve as a defensive disruptor and an energy boost off the bench. Play Powell on Point, with Miles backing up and put the tall girl in the middle and let them all follow KJH's lead and it is realistically a final four team.

That was last season and totally doesn't present the entire body of work. She was playing in a bad situation for her. She is a career 45 percent shooter and her best season freshman 48 and 42 from the three on limited attempts 31. She was never used to her strengths by anyone but Schaeffer. She is a mid-range inside nightmare for any team to guard. Coaches need to play her to these kinds of shots on the floor. Vic was a master doing it now we'll see what Kellie can do. If she is receptive to her mid-range game and inside game like Vic used her as a freshman she will again be a superstar player. I don't know where you got that she doesn't play defense that is where she is really an excellent player as well.

She was literally trying to do it all and then just doing whatever she wanted. Much better to look at her stats on Schafer when she was playing in a system.

I try not to get into name calling but that one was too far gone for me. If you’re gonna come post crap like that up in here at least give an intelligent opinion.

Poster went lowest common denominator to trash Rickea just to make herself feel better

And I know that poster claims to be a man from back East but I still have strong suspicions it is Eva Westbrook based on some of the posts she made when she first joined. Also the timing she joined. Used to make posts and “X” them all the time when she realized she gave too much away.

Actually the way we used Dye this season is the same way we should hope to use Jackson. She is much taller than Dye and I promise you try guarding Jackson, Key, and Horston around the basketball your in for a days work and a lot of foul trouble. I'm so excited about how Harper is going to use these players as a group and the best point guard we've had in years next season is going to be so much fun for me.

I don't have any way to prove it or find the stats, but I bet from 10 feet in Rickea is a 55 percent shooter or better. Same with Horston who took just to many ill advised shots and threes early in the season before she settled down into how she should really play. I wish we had Jackson and Horston tomorrow we'd be headed for the elite 8. Might be headed there anyway.

I've enjoyed the "she only keeps them 2nd or third" talk LOL... i've even seen. She doesn't even improve their team and she doesn't play defense. I think she knows HERE you will defend and if she starts defending in a TN defense it's just gonna help her game

This. Kellie has given Dye the green light to shoot that mid-range jumper and take her defender off the bounce from the FT line. She’s given us a look at the 4 spot that the LVs haven’t had in a while. Rickea has a very similar skill set — a much more polished skill set, IMO. Gonna be scary good.

Really like to know where they got that doesn't play defense crap from. What a big exaggeration that is having seen her play several times personally. Also evidently Powell didn't move us up any what a surprise for everyone when they see what this player can do on a team with a lot of talent.
