We should just run the read option the entire game against Kentucky and actually utillize what Dobbs is good at. Kentucky did it to us with a wr at qb.

At least its way more common to improve back to 100% of a broken bone than a ligament.

It was a hairline fracture nothing too serious like a compound fracture or anything. It's why he has been in a boot. Ferguson will be the guy next year imo.

Makes sense for Butch to keep it quiet given the fact Dobbs did not have a legitimate backup QB capable of playing the last 2 games.

also the tibia being the smaller bone in leg means it should hopefully heal quicker and not effect his future playing ability

When it rains, it doth verily pour. How often do you lose three of your four scholarship quarterbacks to injury for extended periods of time?

I know someone close to the situation. He told me that Riley Ferguson got the last of the Cookies 'N Cream ice cream at a team dinner a while back. Daniel "Shade Tree" McCullers apparently was not happy about this and tackled Ferguson which broke his leg....Vols just can't get a break this year..

People said the same things about Peterman they are saying about RF. He was supposed to be Brett Favre. Lets see him play before we say who is better. RF would not have looked good against this schedule. True freshmen make mistakes against good Ds.

Truer words have never been spoken.

And he let that slow him down. Not Vol for life material in my opinion - should be 105% if all he has is a fractured tibia. :)

Crazy how life works. Had he not incurred the injury, it would almost certainly be him playing as opposed to Dobbs. And I know Dobbs is a freshman but he has been terrible. Who knows... We might have won at least one additional game which would make us bowl eligible. Crazy

Peterman was the back-up for the past game.

They will probably go with Dobbs, but there is absolutely no reason not to play Peterman with him being healed. First start in the swamp is one thing. Playing UK in Lexington with nothing at all on the line is quite another.

But as for next season. Free Fergie.

I agree, give Peterman a shot against a team he stands a chance against. See if his practice has helped at all. It will be good for CBJ and Peterman, a real test to see if he needs to transfer or not.
