Riots in England. Are we next?

I was reading about the massive riots in the UK and started thinking. How far are we from this. As unemployment grows and recession drags on and on. Our government is not exactly setting a good example of civilised behavior either. All they are doing is inciting hatred and frutration with anyone who thinks different than them. It goes for all of them. The poor of this country are getting poorer, and the rich are getting richer. I don't understand how greedy people do not see what happened in the past and take steps to make sure it doesn't happen here. The lower middle class is getting hammered and pushed into poverty. Hopelessness turns to anger, and it does not take long before heads begin to roll. I do not have any answers, but there are people who are intelligent enough to show us a way out. I know this a haphazard post, and for that I apologize. I just got extremely saddened by the reports from England, and realized we are not that far from it happening to us. Lets please work together to stop this. Liberals and Conservatives and independants, It will take all of us to stop it.

It's London's version of Rodney King from what I have read. Been there, done that.

I'd say Greece is probably the precursor to the outrage we'll see here.

I planted a garden this year for the 1st time in many years (15+) to save money and put up canned veggies for the family. I also have about 40 head of cattle I could eat (if they don't get stolen).:)

if it all goes to hell I will be moving very close to you. Figure it's a good place to ride out anything

I might share with some of my buds.:)

Plus, I have to dodge wild game driving from my house every day, and I have a river that runs through my property. Country Boy Can Survive......

there are worse places plus the Boy scout camp is just across the lake. Those guys have lots of supplies

Yep. I like to think of it as God's country....

I do have over 50lbs of walleye in the freezer.:dance2:

Did people riot during the Great Depression? If not then I can't see it happening now. Not sure why everyone is going nuts anyways one shoddy agency downgraded us. Their calculations were off by 3 trillion and they still did it, so obviously it was happening either way. Don't think anyone is going to lose so much as to want to riot.

Speaking of the riots in England... there is a movement of people taking photos of the faces of looters and posting them on Twitter so that they'll get caught.

Canada style. People did this in Vancouver. Only idiots loot without bandit gear on.
