Right. But, from what I have seen, the 'protests' have evolved into people looting stores. That has nothing to do with legit protests over what could possibly be police brutality.

By the way, I wasn't saying we are in imminent danger of anything. The guy asking for evidence that the poor are getting poorer. Are you serious? Or are you so insulated. If you don't see what's happening to the lower middle class in this country, then no evidence I could give will enlighten you in any way. I wish I hadn't started this thread, I feel like Jerry McGuire.Don't worry be happy :hi:everything is allright.
ah yes. the old pull at the heart strings argument. obama uses it well with his stupid "letters i received" bs. i tell you what. i'll start worrying about the middle class when they stop paying their cell phone and cable bills and stop buying flatscreens,.
Don't know why I bothered, but here is some evidence on middle class wages. Dismiss away.
According to IRS data: 1988 average middle class wages=$33400. 20 years later=$33000.

Like clockwork. I mean no disrespect, but you can't see the forest for the trees that surround your office building.
Waste of effort. Later.

link falling wages of the middle class? And record access to food stamps no factor?
i'm a selfish bastard because i believe that people that are impoverished can't afford flatscreens and HD cable? seems like fact to me.
you want to answer my questions? and for the 50th time. income disparities do not make people poorer.
if they don't exist then why:
Data from the Department of Energy and other agencies show that the average poor family, as defined by Census officials:
● Lives in a home that is in good repair, not crowded, and equipped with air conditioning, clothes washer and dryer, and cable or satellite TV service.
● Prepares meals in a kitchen with a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave as well as oven and stove.
● Enjoys two color TVs, a DVD player, VCR and — if children are there — an Xbox, PlayStation, or other video game system.
● Had enough money in the past year to meet essential needs, including adequate food and medical care.
And, right on cue, canards from the Heritage Foundation.
