RIP Twitter

supposedly they are already hurling sue balls back and forth. The twits is going to be a complete **** show this week.

also, musk told those left to find a billion in cost savings.

This is looking more and more like a hostile takeover. He is stripping twitter and taking the tech he wants.

I still think it's funny we've got two rubes in this thread butthurt about a successful African-American billionaire taking over their echo chamber of choice.

And it isn't even clear yet that he's going to dismantle the echo chamber. He looks to be trending towards maintaining the status quo of the past 10 years.

There's no real valuable tech there. He's trying to make it a profitable company

Watching the pearl clutching over Elon buying Twitter is almost a bigger LMAO moment than all the other absurd crying.
It literally doesn't make any sense. Purely motivated by some random ass hate from the phony French bicycle man and his weird typing sidekick.

Twitter employees filed a suit against Twitter because they’re losing their jobs. Seems like they’ve gained a sense of entitlement which is probably a huge reason why their being told to hit the door.

If he violated the WARN act as alleged the remedy is pretty mild

The WARN Act requires most employers with 100 or more employees to provide notification 60 calendar days in advance of plant closings and mass layoffs. If the employer fails to provide proper notice, employees may be entitled to recover damages equal to 60 days' pay.

I wonder if they’re receiving any sort of severance?

So just provide 60 days severance and it's a moot point? And it hits this FY financials and then Q1 2023 starts fresh.
