You all must work in some terrible buildings.Da fu***

You all must work in some terrible buildings.
many of the ones I worked in (that weren't a straight up warehouse) were old but renovations are being made. My wife's company just finished a new hq and it is similar to the videos I've seen. Tech companies go a little further because of the people the employ but this isn't as crazy as you make it out to be
Really ? How many companies that you have worked for have large spacious rooms with individual yoga mats , meditation rooms , offer wine on tap , free multiple option espresso machines and free meals ? Now I’m no rocket scientist but when it comes down to making money ( turning profits ) which every company is designed to do , when it’s time for the bottom line crunch, I’m going to through those over the top excesses out the door first thing .

I subcontract to a massive multi-billion dollar company, and have worked with several others. There may be one really modern floor in their offices, but that's it.Really ? You forget, the majority of workers are blue collar. Warehouse, factory, office. This is high end office. The vast majority of people do not work in places like these. You all must work in some terrible buildings.

No alcohol but we get free hot meals in multiple Corp buildings. This building is older but they're currently renovating to add updated work spaces and a coffee bar. We have nice small mtg rooms that could be used for the same purpose. Wife's had the same based on her recent trip. Both our companies are extremely profitable as wellReally ? The last company I worked for was a 3pl and the warehouses they owned were amazing. Pool, pingpong,Foosball tables, big tvs, video games, indoor basketball hoops, full market for food/snacks, etc. The employee retention was huge at those compared to ones they leased and didn't build with those things in mindYou forget, the majority of workers are blue collar. In fact when I look at this I see waste. I couldn't imagine an employee would work, truly work accomplishing tasks, for much more than 50 to 60% of their day. Likely less.
We did the dist for a tea company out of California and they told us they drank their "special" teas in the afternoon. Never got to make the trip out to their hq thoughI honestly just want to know how a company can afford the premium on their insurance when you tell the bean counters that you serve free on tap wine to your employees in a work place / office setting .

Cracked me upI should video our “lounge” and post it here. It would make your eyes water. Looks like a run down Latvian soup kitchen and a used furniture sale on the side of a highway in Mexico. Just a few slow computers on outdated software to give the appearance of some semblance of technology going on in there and a big flat screen that I’m not sure works since I don’t recall ever seeing it on in the past six months. The dot matrix printers were a nice touch, but they recently replaced those…so there’s that. It’s a real gem.
Let me guess, they had a government contract? The last company I worked for was a 3pl and the warehouses they owned were amazing. I ask because you moved from Newport News to Florida and almost 90% of the people that live in Newport News work for the government or a government contractor. Furthermore, I just find your reports of the fantastic benefits you get from a private employer somewhat unbelievable. Show some pictures of the lavish praises your employer throws upon your feet for doing a better job than anyone else does for working in the real world.No. Why do you keep asking the same question? I've never done govt work as I've told you several times

90% is a ridiculous overstatement. You don't know NN. And just in case you're tempted to pull a Biden and ask again - still not doing govt work.I ask because you moved from Newport News to Florida and almost 90% of the people that live in Newport News work for the government or a government contractor.
