RIP Twitter

"I have the best people" where have I heard that one before?
You do know he runs several highly successful companies. Including one that has billion dollar contracts with the Department of Defense and NASA.

On Tuesday NASA gave SpaceX a 2nd award for $1.15 billion for a 2nd crewed moon landing currently scheduled for 2027 as part of the Artemis program.

What is really funny is that this is happening at a lot of companies right now, my husband has a corporate job and they pretty much had to tell people come back in the office or we will take this as a sign that you quit lol.. people weren’t doing jack sh!t 😂

There’s bean counters here that claim they can do just as much, if not more, from home.

For every company "mad" about people not coming back, there's 10 companies that have seen huge savings from people working from home and reducing office sapce. My wife's company has them come in like 4-6 times a month, But they've saved a ton from reduced footprint required to operate. In the end it depends on the buisiness and what people do, and how you enforce accountability. Pretty sure it works well here because we have a strong work ethic in this neck of the woods.

That’s great, they can go work somewhere where that’s the culture… for a lot of companies is does not work well, because people are just sitting in their jammies and doing their laundry lol..not all, but a lot of people are not that disciplined… when I finish up my MBA in healthcare admin in the fall, so I hope people continue to want to stay home when I go job hunting 😂 I think it will be very advantageous

Well As soon as the whole work from home thing started I built her a home office. Made sure it had a rise and lower desk (sit or stand) a dedicated monitor that went with it etc.... made sure it was set up for conf calls (background)

So I think that helps. If you don't have a dedicated room for "office" it's easy to get sidetracked, when she enters that room...she's at work. But yeah sometimes in her jammies..

Yes.. you have to have a separate space to ‘go’ … I’m ready to be around people again so I can’t wait to have that separation by driving to work again 😂 I just don’t like the whole being on call thing, but that’s just part of healthcare if you rise up even a little in the ranks.. going to work yay.. having nurse calls you 24/7, boo

My ex was a Pfizer sales rep and didn't have an office except at home. Some days I'd go home for lunch and she would still be there, cleaning house, doing laundry or sleeping and sometimes just be getting ready to make some sales calls. To say that she was a less than an optimal work from home candidate would be an understatement.

Yep, this has basically been my MBA online, but throw in Volnation 😂 I probably should have finished about a semester ago 😂

Not ideal, but if it isn't accompanied by an actual ban of the user, then it is somewhat different from what the policy has been the last couple of years.

How is what he is saying any different from the status quo? In no way is he saying there are no bans. And shadow banning was one of the biggest supposed problems. It's easy to not say certain words and keep your account. There is nothing you can do about shadow banning.

What he is saying is so broad it should be concerning, right. "Negative" tweets can get your post shadow banned? What does that even mean?

It won't be just Republicans and Conservatives on the receiving end.
I'm gonna say it again. It's hilarious watching the ones flipping out now, because they had zero problems with it when it was just conservatives 🤣. Personally, I don't think any speech should be banned, whether I like it,or not. I've read these very posters pitching fits celebrate when people like Trump, Marjorie, or their supporters were banned.

Shadow banning was a problem and is something I disagree with if that's part of the plan moving forward. But he has said users will not get banned unless they break the law. If he holds to that, it is a fairly significant departure from the status quo of permanent bans for "dead naming" trans celebrities and permanent bans for telling fired Huffington post employees to "learn to code", etc. It isn't necessarily a drastic enough departure, but it is a step in the right direction.

And the way his tweet reads to me is that they would demote individual posts that have the "hate content" (whatever that is), but not the user in total.
