RIP Twitter

honestly I haven't seen anyone complain that Twitter limited access to nude pictures of Hunter - that's a red herring.

the issue always was what the laptop revealed about dealings involving Joe and even Twitter acknowledges they suppressed this wrongly

Why are the only people talking about nudes are democrats? It's an argument they are hoping to muddy the waters of the real issues. It's important that people concerned about what the Hunter laptop revealed don't fall for it. They do it with every topic. They've purposely mastered it as a trade.

I must be missing something. Twitter is not required to give free speech or even let views they disagree with on their platform. We all know this, but yet act surprised and outraged that a bunch of lefties that were running it were doing it. Maybe folks are putting to much into what is being said on twiiter.
That's not the issue. The issue is the direct collaboration with government to suppress things the government didn't like.

It's problematic that it happened but it's not exactly a scandal and not a surprise.

Guess which Fortune 500 brands share data with Twitter?

"Twitter, like most other digital advertising platforms, offers free snippets of Javascript code that, along with a single pixel embedded in pages, tracks users so advertisers can send targeted ads.
These trackers have landed other tech giants – including Meta, Google, and TikTok– in trouble for breaching consumer privacy rules by collecting sensitive personal data."

I haven't seen ads for Smith & Wesson or BCM come across my feed...

Funny how dims here are just brushing off the Twitter findings as something we all knew while denying it for years.

Remember when Elon was about to catch a sexual assault charge, so right before it came out he told everyone he was about to get in trouble for being Republican and people ate it up? Lol. “OMG HE PREDICTED IT, WHAT A GENIUS”

I'm neither surprised nor outraged. I am glad to see direct evidence of what the company was doing which many people (including the company) denied it was doing.

The actions they took at the urging of the government (regardless of administration) are certainly concerning and news worthy and we are all better off knowing what's going on as we try to sort through all the information flowing through various media. I wish all media would be candid about the influence of government on the stories they push or spike.

I think it's funny how many people still act like Twitter wasn't doing this.

If nothing else it reminds us to question what gets shoveled out.

The fact that people have a problem with that or are trying so desperately to downplay what is out is so sad. Do they want us all to be some type of big, weird hivemind? I thought we were supposed to be diverse, equal, included, unique?
