RIP Twitter

Shut down? Suspended? James Woods for almost a year…comes back and SHUTTERED again. You see accounts disappear and maybe word of mouth occurs on what happened. Babylon Bee does a conservative version of the Onion…SHUTTERED. You can’t “correct” the truth but it can be SHUTTERED for “violating terms of service”. It hasn’t been an even playing service and you can’t talk that reality out of existence.

LOL, all you had to say was that you meant shut down when you said shuttered.

I repeat, and this is the last time I will talk to you ITT, but I am in the middle ground between absolute ******** and absolute ******** and I do not need your erroneous coaching. Nobody said it's an even playing "service". Stop wasting everyone's time with your arguments against fake positions. Stick to what is said

Free speech
He actually wants their company
He definitely wants their data
He likes attention and showing how big his balls are

I think all of these are part of it.

@Freak and Mods, I reply ITOT and it shows up here in the recruiting thread, somehow. I swear I'm not doing this, LOL.

Edit: looks like it's been fixed

Hey libs. If you don’t like Elon owning Twitter, leave. 😂
Be careful what you wish for. That would not be a positive development for such a large investment (even by the standards of someone as wealthy as Elon Musk). I doubt that is something that Musk wants to happen.

People who frequent Twitter do so, at least in part, because they prefer having a spirited debate over having an echo chamber (engaging in dialogue, only with people who always agree with you, can quickly become boring).

I should add, the only thing that makes me skeptical that this is actually about speech is I'm pretty sure Musk was quiet about this issue all along. It was a much a bigger topic of conversation at other points (like in the height of COVID and also when Trump got banned and they deleted those 60k accounts). Why was he quiet for so long and then all of a sudden starts speaking out, and soon thereafter buys the company? Maybe he was trying to avoid controversy before (not really his style) and now decided to make a move when all his ducks are in a row? IDK. But that's the only thing about all this that gives me the slightest pause.

I'm not saying he won't improve speech standards there, but I'm questioning actual motives to some degree. That being said, I care less about motives and more about actions.

They can just go make their own platform amirite? 😂
Is it unfathomable that Silicon Valley could develop a competing platform within 5 years? I'm not sure why that's funny ... but yes, that is a possibility, which I doubt Elon Musk and his $43 billion investment want to see happen. Even for Musk, that is a chunk of change.

Same difference. Desperation begats grasping figurative straws others see as participles. YOU jumped in when the concept of an even playing field was in discussion. One would be led to believe your contention that non-woke people are NOT muted WAY too frequently on that platform is an argument…which was “SAID” by yourself. If you’re done? Prove it! 😎

When you’re quoting YOURSELF to make your own points, others have to consider the source. 😉

He won’t change anything except the algorithm that mutes previous opposing viewpoints. Others have tried to replicate Twitter and failed. Wokes will shrill and tweet anyway…like conservatives before them.

Hey just parroting back what conservatives were told. It seemed pretty unfathomable then. I guess only left leaning people code huh? Who knew!

Devin Nunes left a secure seat in the House of Representatives, because Donald Trump asked him to become the CEO of his "Truth Social" platform ... but Donald Trump has not helped to promote the platform at all.

,,, and does anyone believe this? Nunes is kidding himself.

Donald Trump "really doesn't have an interest" in Twitter, Devin Nunes says

Devin Nunes is about to learn a hard lesson. When it comes to Donald Trump, loyalty is a one way street, and Trump won't hesitate to undercut people who have made sacrifices for him, such as Nunes has.

Bingo. It will be exactly the same the aggrieved parties will merely change courts. If anything it should be more open.
