RIP Twitter

No..seems he is more likely to uncover fraud and a twitter being. Dirty company..
Elon Musk wasn't exactly being a savvy businessman, when he made a public offer to pay $54.20 a share for Twitter, before requesting this documentation concerning bots/spam accounts first. If this is a sincere concern of his, then the time to perform such due diligence, was prior to making an offer. He hasn't left himself much room for negotiation. Why negotiate with someone who has already offered to overpay you? Musk put the cart before the horse on this one.

Seems that way....if fraud is found on twitter..meaning they fraudrd advertisers etc... would there be a DOJ investigation into the fraud....or clasd action lawsuits bankrupting twitter and exposing it as a fraudulent company....I be willing to bet there is a longer game afoot...and that purchase price will change

Musk will definitely try to lower it ... but that price represents Musk's unsolicited offer. Nobody affiliated with Twitter floated $54.20 a share out there. That is Musk's baby. It's hard to see how he was being a good businessman here.

It wasn't and isn't about being a good businessman. It's about buying a toy. That's all it is for him. That and PR.

God, I love being right. Told you knuckledraggers this thing was gonna be a disaster for Musky boy. Hubris/chutzpa is a helluva drug.

Just like most things you type, that doesn't mean what you hope it means. That is in reference to other buyers.

Even if it did mean that, he relied on the SEC filings which are most likely fraudulent. I posted the link to their SEC filings and to the verbiage that said all of their SEC were true and accurate.

What do you think the fallout of Twitter if fraud is found? Id have to think defrauding advertising for millions of dollars would carry a heavy price...

I think the shareholders will sue the BOD and the advertisers will sue as well. Twitter stock will most likely plunge, and you will see huge turnover within the company. From there, who knows what will happen.

I have no idea what is going to happen nor do I have a horse in the race. I find the whole thing fascinating.

If Twitter has been knowingly lying or twisting the definitions of spam/bot accounts, there will be hell to pay for Twitter. If Musk buys, I assume he will be left holding the liability bag on a lot of that.

I doubt Twitter can force him to pay the penalty for backing out of the deal: IF he does and IF there are material omissions or untrue statements of fact in their filings.

And if that’s the case, I would think Musk would have legal grounds to withdraw the offer and Twitter would probably be reluctant to try and enforce the buyout in that case. Can’t imagine a court enforcing the buyout of that comes to light.

'Is this legit?': Elon Musk finally responds to Project Veritas Sting in which Twitter Engineer says all workers there are 'commie as f***' and that they hate the billionaire Tesla boss

Elon Musk tweeted 'Is this legit?' in response to footage showing a senior Twitter employee claiming his colleagues are '******* commies' who censor conservatives' speech but not liberals'.

Musk left the comment on Tuesday on a Twitter thread where journalist Benny Johnson posted the footage.

Johnson responded to Musk by saying that Twitter confirmed the video's authenticity, posting an unverified photo of an internal message from Twitter warning employees about being targeted by reporters.

Siru Murugesan was recorded saying Twitter 'does not believe in free speech,' and that the company culture is extremely far left where workers are 'commie as f***' and 'hate, hate, hate' Elon Musk's $44 Billion takeover.

Maybe Musk will build super mega rockets that will transport these people to another plant where they will have their utopia.

I'm really curious who at Twitter really pissed off Musk...

He doesn't strike me as the vengeful kind, but he really seems to be going out of his way to expose what's going on over there.

rumor is musk used the purchase to dump a tone of tesla stock for the supposed "purchase" before it tanked. He will now buy the stock back cheap as if it were crypto. He's running tesla like a crypto ring,

I'm afraid to say that it might just boil down to him liking attention.

Man, I am totally here for this upcoming sh*tshow. Gonna love watching Musk's vanity/narcissism/hubris cost him billions.

Twitter’s Board Recommends Shareholders Vote to Approve Musk Deal

"Despite his public comments, the deal’s contract doesn’t seem to give Musk much room to walk away. The merger agreement stipulates that he would owe Twitter a $1 billion breakup fee if he were to cancel the deal. The contract also gives Twitter the right to force Musk to close the deal as long as his debt financing is available. Twitter also has the right to go to court to force Musk to try to obtain that debt financing."

Perfect analogy:

It might be helpful to recap again here, and use a metaphor. What Musk has done is akin to a normal person agreeing to waive all inspection contingencies in order to buy a house, signing a contract on the house while publicly proclaiming “I’m going to fix this place up from the dump it is now,” then deciding during the closing period that the house is too much of a dump and demanding to be let out of the contract while personally attacking the seller.

Elon Musk doesn't want to buy Twitter anymore, but Twitter should make him pay for it

If we use this stupid analogy, it is more like he agreed to purchase the home for $500k and the appraisal came in at $100k,

For the record, I don't really care what happens to Musk or Twitter. It is just fun to point out the stupidity that you post.
