BTW- is Chris Donald going to ND? I've got a bad feeling that he is.

No way Donald goes to ND, he is all VOL man, so don't sweat it.

Which girl dawson? wasnt there another one first? I just love little weasels that remind of those kids when you were little, "Ive got a girlfriend, but you cant meet her because she lives in Canada." We dont have to worry about hearing from that chump again after LSU put on a beat down clinic last night. ND=Overated as usual. You wonder why they set the record for most consecutive Bowl losses? Maybe because each year the sycophant east coast media build them up into something they are not, they get into a decent bowl and get waxed like Domer's wife's back.

Yeah, its a different girl. Who knows, i might have a different one next week ha ha. Yeah, Domer would have a picture up of his girl but she is off modeling right now(BS) :)
Domer wont show his face for awhile.
By the way, I made a point to look at the ND cheerleaders during the game. I hope Chris Donald did as well because HA HA HA HA HA break out the Nair and the back rubbers boys, they were DOG UGLY.

No need for personal attacks against domers. Let's talk about breaking the record for most bowl losses in a row. haha. And doing it in grand fashion, no less. I hope chris donald saw the nasty cheerleaders and also saw the overrated team. I luckily missed the disgusting cheerleaders, but I saw every second of a clueless offense and a nonexistent defense. haha. Way to go irish...shoot for 10 fellas!

eh, on the bright side, at least we met expectations. a loss is a lot worse when you are the clear cut favorite to win, but everyone had us marked off for this game.

my initial thoughts when i found out we were playing LSU (along with all other domers, i'm sure) were "uh oh, we are going to get stomped." i tried my best to work up the confidence that we could compete in the game, but last night simply confirmed our initial reactions. no biggy, we will get a much needed new D-coordinator after this and move on with our new recruits... i think we will be big in a few years with the recruits that we are getting in... we don't have the horses to compete with the big boys just yet

I won't pile on here domer. All I will say is that IMO, LSU has the most talented team in the country. If it weren't for a couple of boneheaded plays by JR, they would be putting that same beatdown on OSU Monday. Even though I despise ND and the favoritism they have built in by the media everywhere, and guaranteed a BCS game if they are top 10, that was the worst draw you could have gotten. Did you hear Robert Smith running smack on ND this morning on ESPN? He said the reason they haven't won a bowl game since the Civil War is because they get pimped to a bigtime bowl against a superior opponent to get rankings. May be some truth to that. Come on Chris Donald, wear the orange!

Robert Smith is right... ND's publicity train gets them into an undeserving bowl every year... i'm not complaining about that... but i think we will turn the corner in 2 years and be an elite program... we are getting in the horses we need in our recruiting classes to compete with these good teams. i think weis has done a great job at taking a 5-6 and 6-6 team and developing them into a 9-3 and 10-3 team. they are decent, but not by any means great. first step is to fire the D-coord tho, and i believe that he will be gone before next year.

and yeah, LSU's talent was amazing... far out-classing ours... and like OSU was the worst draw possible for us last year, LSU was the worst draw possible for us this year, i agree with you voldaddy. nice post.

Both of the two previous posts I agree with and were much more toned down than mine. Forgive me if I couldn't help but rub it in a little. ND isn't a bad team. In fact, they are probably about on par with TN this year. But, because they are ND, they get to play in bowl games that they should never have been playing in. This sucks for all non-ND fans, and so obviously we all get a little giddy when the inevitable butt-kicking arrives, and we want to get our digs in.

I have a high school buddy and several law school friends who went to ND undergrad. All good people. But because of the aforesaid disparity in bowl placement, I can't help but root against ND.

Anyway, back to the lecture at hand. To Chris Donald: Come wear orange next year and come play in a BCS bowl game that you actually have a shot of winning.

You posted prior to the game that Notre Dame would turn in the surprise performance of the bowl season by proving eveyrone wrong and that you'd be back today to reiterate!! :eek:lol:

"i tried my best to work up the confidence that we could compete in the game, but last night simply confirmed our initial reactions"

i worked up that confidence and said that they would turn in the surprise bowl of the season. so it didnt happen. are you finding comfort for your loss in our loss? lol.

The Notre Dame football team is, and always has been, the most overrated sports team in history.

There you go, change the subject back to UT when you're proven wrong. I read your post, just as I read your post yesterday about Notre Dame surprising the world last night.

After last nights beating I'd say the Irish will probably just jump up 1 or 2 spots instead of the normal 3 or 4 in the final poll.

actually, ND was originally way overrated at #2... when they lost to UM, they dropped to #12. They stayed at #12 all season long... they even dropped spots and rankings after winning some close games against inferior competition when other teams that won close games against inferior competition stayed in their slots. i think ND got treated fairly after their loss with where they were ranked. not one game the entire year did ND jump after a win unless a team above them dropped a game. they still get more media attention and media love than any other school, but the human polls didn't show them the kind of bias that you portray.

and to tidwell, i wasnt changing the subject to UT at all, but it's funny how i said nothing disgraceful about your team losing to an inferior one after your bowl game and you seem to find comfort in bashing any kind of ND thread without first attempting to see someone else's point of view.

seek first to understand, then seek to be understood. you should try it... its good

we will be unranked going into 2007, just as we were going into 2005

how open-minded of you, joey. i couldn't imagine how i have been offensive to the UT football team in any way while i have been on this board, though. i agree with the general consensus on the board that ND was overrated, they have no talent, and they get an unfair deal to the BCS and NBC. i have the right to stand up for my team, though... and try to erase some of the incorrectly biased assumptions of some people, but why does this offend you so much?

I am still waiting for you to explain why you're here in the first place. Are you a closet vol fan?

no. i grew up in tennessee and lived there for 22 years. i'm very familiar with the vol program... and ive had a few friends that played for the vols (michael frogg most recently... the walk-on longsnapper turned center who lost his starting position sometime this year).

i like to talk football, and i have always been interested with the on-goings in vol-land. my dad is a huge vol fan along with my father in law. so i like to keep them updated. i root for the vols on occasionally when they play teams i really dont like =P

mainly, im just here to chat and have a good time with some vol fans... and be the shameless homer for a hated team, heh

edit: besides, its always fun to have a good-spirited argument over an insignificant thing like football, isnt it? it just makes the day at work go by faster... i love goofin around w/ you guys on this board

I think UT and Notre Dame are really similar, two great schools with great histories.
