I think Delvin Jones was a LOCK for the Vols but these new coaches went soft on him. Can anyone confirm this?

Let's give CLT the recruiting coordinator spot and give him pay him what Orgeron was making to show him how much we appreciate him and want him around!

Now my feelings on UNC; I live in NC and all the UNC fans I know will tell you in unison that their QBs SUCK!!!!!
They may have gotten some WRs to the league, but they didn't have these QBs throwing to them! Markeith went out west and he knows and helped recruit Tyler Bray! I don't think there is any way on God's green earth that you pass up playing in the SEC, getting back at Florida for dropping your recruitment, being coached by the guy that coached Randy Moss and Cris Carter in their best seasons, recommitting to a school that you recruited a lot of kids to yourself, being closer to home, and the school that your Dad apparently really likes to go to UNC unless their passing out game checks!!

I believe that we will sign Glass, Copeland, Stone, Ambles, Crump, and one suprise recruit. I think the OL coach might help us snag a suprise. I'll believe the Da' Rick Rogers signing when I see it. I also believe that there will be an NCAA investigation into MA's recruitment no matter who he signs with.

Yes that's it. I thought his last name was Jones but didn't want to say it in case I was wrong. How is he doing at UNC anyways was he a big loss like I thought he was going to be? I was upset when he signed with UNC.

I think we take Glass. We will have room and need bodies at OL. He has the talent, just needs the work ethic.

Where have you seen/heard that on Jones? I know people keep saying that, I just haven't seen anything to it.

I think his grades are fine, according to FLVOL77 anyways. He just hasn't taken the ACT/SAT for some reason.

Why Ole Miss?
"One of my old coaches use to coach there, and he told me a lot of good things about it over there. He thinks I will would fit in good there. Plus, two of my boys, Jeff Scott and Ralph Williams, are probably headed there too, so we have all been talking about going there together."

Who else in under consideration?
"Really no one. I am still talking to Florida State and Louisville, but that is about it."

Delvin has not taken any official visits because he does not have a recorded SAT/ACT test, which is a requirement to take an official visit. Could that delay his decision until after signing day so he can take in a couple of visits?

"I am going to sign on signing day. I think I know pretty much what I am going to do."

Stone, Glass, Rogers, Ambles: want em! Jones: my gut says doesn't qualify or foes to Ole Miss. Crump: here if we offer. Robinson would be nice! Dunno, tho. Stone, I wish he got to visit...argh!

I could be wrong, but it looks like Delvin Jones changes his mind based on what Ralph Williams does. I know they're close and Delvin Jones has always swayed to whatever Ralph Williams last update is. His last statement is that he's looking at Ole Miss pretty hard. He can't go on official visits so I think he is just putting a lot of stock into what Williams tells him. I smell shadiness with this whole situation anyway. Ole Miss' OC just left out of the blue and Jones didn't even mention it after being furious about Kiffin; even though the OC and last year's TE's coach is still at UT! I smell a rat in this whole recruitment. That might be why Dooley went soft on him if that is indeed the case.

No, IIRC he was from NC and we were defiantly in it for him we had as good of chance as anyone to land him, so I don't think that qualifies as a joke statement.

Lack of class is exactly the reason Wilson & Gran are gone, & bad-mouthed their experience w the coaches after leaving. They had class, & Kiffen didn't, & he knew that, so he let em go, cause class & no-class don't mesh.

this was posted about 3 days ago, from TOS.....not sure which site exactly.....but there's been alot of buzz that began with Ralph Williams basically silently decomitting, Scout doesn't even list him as a commit anymore.....

Seems like Delvin Jones follows Ralph around like a little puppet........my best guess is that Delvin will sign with Ole Miss, then not qualify, and be signed and placed.....then we may be able to try to recruit him again, or not.......

It gets really strange when he wants to play TE, and we basically have 3 TE coaches on board, very odd.....

I read that about a week ago, too. I had given up on both Williams and Jones.
