Why not rather ban all discussion of them altogether and act like we've never played them. Then if we ever don't lay an egg against them, we can come out of the woodwork.

Been seeing these same stupid threads for the past 5 years. And we still get our ar$e$ kicked.

Some valid points, but McElwain has had 1 head coaching stint and inherited good players at CSU, hence I'm not ready to say he's the answer at Florida and not willing to say they'll be "really good", regardless of recruiting base.

You guys have a ton of talent on the current roster, you'll add several studs like Cowart and Ivey at the end, you'll likely finish with a top 20-25 class, you just hired a significant upgrade from Muschamp to run the program and you know you go into the season 1-0 as long as UT is on your schedule. I know some on here are trying to kick UF while they're "down" and poke fun.....I'm not one of them. Healthy respect for Florida at all times here.....fully expect an 11th straight loss this year in Gainesville.

I thought this was a thread about Alabama, Kentucky and Vanderbilt doing inappropriate things to Florida. I was disappointed.

I'll go so far as to say that if Butch can't beat them this year, he never will and he's probably not the guy to ever win a championship here.

Every year since 2011 has been "the" year to finally get a W over the Gators, but this year is even more promising than 2012. In 2012, they actually had an offense and their defense was still elite.

In 2015, their offense will still be struggling and their defense won't be much better than ours.

Florida is notorious for being one of the strongest finishers in the nation. Don't get your hopes up. They will be fine.

IMO, Florida will never be the team they were under Spurrier and Meyer. I don't care if they finish this signing class strong or not. They will have some good years, but not as consistent as they were under Spurrier and Meyer.

I think It'll be like the Charley Pell years of 1979-1984 at best. FSU has Florida under wraps right now and Florida is a distant 2nd.

Of course we can talk trash. We are fans. We don't determine the outcome of games. And our history is far more rich than what Florida has to offer. Only barrier we currently have against Florida is beating a jersey next year. We have surpassed them in the talent and coaching department
