Give us the number of committed players also so we're comparing apples to apples here. Average star rating would be nice also.

Bama- 17
LSU- 17
Florida- 14
Georgia- 16
Ole Miss- 17
USC- 11
Auburn- 15
MS State- 15
Arkansas- 16
Tennessee- 14
Kentucky- 17
S. Carolina- 15

UT will have to close really strong to crack the top 15 ...

And we will, not a doubt in my mind. We are in good with too many high rated prospects. Dooley is huge in the in-home visits too. We will hit our stride in December and January.

We look very good for passing these teams imo: Utah, Iowa, Michigan, TCU, Okla St, Arkansas, Miss St, UVA, Mich St, Washington, and Texas Tech.

The teams we are gonna be competing with to get in the top 15 are Stanford, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Clemson, UNC, Pitt, Nebraska, Oregon, Cal, Miami, and UCLA.

Suprising that out of the SEC teams we have the least commits...that makes me very hopeful that our class could jump up if we start pulling in some more highly touted players later in the process.

I am calling 12th right now!:good!:

Once this season gets rolling and the losses start piling up we're going to be more likely to lose current verbal commits than we will be to land a significant number of big name commits.

The coaches will use the losses to show how much we need top talent to come in and contribute immediatly.

I doubt our W-L record will be a huge factor this year, the recruits know we are rebuilding it isn't a secret.

Way to have a positive attitude. :good!:

You can think that all that you want but most top recruits aren't looking to board a ship that is taking on tons of water when they can just as easily board a brand new luxury yacht. This season is going to be ugly, and it's going to hurt us in recruiting. It's not like these top recruits have some sentimental attachment to UT. Most of them are from out-of-state.

Does it suck as bad to wake up as you everyday as it seems? With that negative nancy, doomsday attitude it sure seems like it would. I'm not predicting 8 wins here.....but how about a little back-bone and support for the team you supposedly are a fan of?

I support them all day long, but I'm not some delusional imbecile that sits back and sees this team's swiss cheese-style depth chart and then says that we're going to win 8 or 9 games in the toughest conference in college football.

Who in this thread has even hinted at that? its like you are pushing a "UT is going to suck" agenda and you refuse to hear any other opinion. If we win 8 games will you even be happy, or secretly pissed that you were wrong on a message board? Will you even cheer during/at games or just sit there and wait for a turnover and go "SEE.....TOLD YA, WE SUCK!!!"?

How many can USC take this year with the scholarship reduction and back counting?

I don't think anyone knows. Kiffin will just have to work the numbers as he goes. They have to have their roster down to only 55 scholarship players by 2013 and will have to figure out how to work this out with the next 3 classes.

I have been saying 12th or 13th all year.

It must suck for you that not everyone is an orange-colored glasses wearing simpleton that assumes that because there is a Power T on our helmets that opponents with superior talent aren't going to lose to us on a regular basis. It must equally suck for you that I don't have to conform to your desire to ignore the reality of this team's current situation. It's laughable that you hint that I'm trying to push a "UT is going to suck agenda" because unlike you kool-aid drinkers, I realize that whether I see the reality of our current situation or not, it is not going to make one iota of difference to the team's results on the field.

Despite your wishes to the contrary, nobody has to explain themselves to you.

You can have a brain and balls. I suggest you look into getting the latter.

No one realistically is expecting 8 or 9 wins but most people aren't running around like pansies preaching doom and gloom before the season starts. Even if this is a 6 win team, Tennessee still has a lot to recruit on. They just have to show progress. Saban's first year at Bama wasn't exactly a great season either.

Really? If you look at Freak's prediction thread that he started on the main board yesterday, you will find that a huge percentage of the posters on this board are predicting 8 or 9 wins this season.

7-6 is what I think we'll go. Same as last year except we will have a bowl win. 6 wins is my #2 choice.

UT-M
UAB
Memphis
Vandy
Kentucky
Ole Miss
Bowl Game against somebody like Rutgers

That would be a very successful season in my opinion.

Generally it's not a good sign in recruiting when you are getting not rated recruits or low 3* recrtuits early on the process.

So unless UT closes with 10 4 or 5 stars (I don't know how many ships are being offered) I don't see how the top 15 will be likely.

Landing AR and Clear would jump us into the top 20 easy. Add AJ Johnson and Vincent Dallas and your pretty damn close right there (15th). Landing that many more (10) would have us approx. 25 recruits and they won't all be 4 and 5*. Sorry.

Our class will end up being top 15. I'm saying around 13 or so.

Wrong. All those teams that are already ranked ahead of us are going to be adding additional recruits too.
