What if your idea is advanced by moderation and compromise and the only way to achieve that is to occasionally cross over?I am loyal to an idea and the Dems do not share that same idea.
I don't compromise my beliefs and do not see how my beliefs can be advanced thru compromise. Compromise only dilutes my beliefs. What if your idea is advanced by moderation and compromise and the only way to achieve that is to occasionally cross over?
I know your immediate reaction will be to claim that that would never be the case, but whe the alternative is increased extremism on both sides with increased stagnation, anger, and division.....whcih actually gets you closer to that "idea"?
Sometimes the only way to advance your beliefs is through compromise. Evidetnly there are millions who don't get that.I don't compromise my beliefs and do not see how my beliefs can be advanced thru compromise. Compromise only dilutes my beliefs.
I'm a conservative and nothing is "extreme" about that.
You saying you do not compromise simply means that you do not believe in being pragmatic or incremental moves forward by giving on one issue in order to gain something else.I don't compromise my beliefs and do not see how my beliefs can be advanced thru compromise. Trump and his first Congress passed the bump stock ban.Trump in the White House and conservatives in control of both houses of Congress I believe many solutions to solve many problems the Dems have created can be found.
And you ignore the idea that there may actually be common ground with some (obviously, not all) people on the other side of the aisle. And you also ignore the incremental advances that the left has been able to achieve since the 1960s... or especially since 1992.I cannot see any incremental good that would come by me voting for a Dem.
I can sort of agree with that, but again, McCarthy got placed where he was because of exactly what you are endorsing here, which is maintaining party loyalty. The GOP outsiders were the main ones standing against McCarthy's nomination.I saw no incremental good in the debt ceiling Mccarthy signed with the Dems. Dems got pretty much all they wanted and I saw really nothing for conservatives worth anything.
I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but have you ever looked at a man and just think I don't trust that guy? For me Pence has always been one of those guys that I just don't trust.
Speaks with a soft voice but looks like evil when you look him in the eye.
