Last year Meachem said he wanted to get 1200 yards. Fulmer acted like it was pretty likely. Well it didn't come close to happening, but he's on track to get that this year.

Is Meachem a threat to the school record on receiving yds in a season?

While I'm on that, what's the record and who holds it?

In 1997, Marcus Nash had 1170 yards receiving that season. So Meach would need 1171 to break the record.

50 catches, 989 yards, 8 TDs

Meachem has showed his play-making ability this season. Will he break Marcus Nash's UT record of 1,170 yards? I'm guessing that he will. I don't think he'll break Nash's receptions record (76 catches), however.

All Meach needs is 181 yards!!! He may set a record at UT that will stand for a very long time.

wow- I didn't know he was that close to Nash's record. He's gonna be the greatest UT receiver all time?!

Just imagine if he would have done anything the past two years. What is the record for receiving yards in a career at UT?

Meachem has 1,831 career receiving yards right now. If he stays for his senior season and stays healthy, he will break that record. IMO, his senior season could solidify him as the best WR to ever play at Tennessee.

I sure hope Ainge and Meachem are best buds... that will be the only way Meach thinks about staying one more year.

And to think that Buzzzz Lightyear, I mean Peterson had a small part in his initial interest in UT.

Expect to see Chris Houston (CB) for Arkansas go up against Meachum most of the way. Houston isn't that big, but likes to play very physical - almost to the point of PI many times.
I think Meachum is one of the top 2-3 receivers in the country, but he needs to prepare for that style Saturday.

We have already played UGA, UF, LSU, and Bama. I am sure he has went up against a physical DB already.
